Background: I've always enjoyed fishing, ever since I was young. I've spent my summers growing up on Lake Erie, and I was on the water whenever I had the chance. Over the years, I've perfected my angling skills and techniques and decided to turn my passion into a full-time job, which is how Crooked Creek Charters came to be. I love spending time outdoors, and teaching people how to fish. I take very good care of my boat and all the fishing equipment so that I can provide my anglers with the best fishing experience.
Techniques: Summer walleye trips consist of trolling a combination of planer boards. Dypsey diver, Trutrips, or downriggers. Spring drift fishing is also available.

Captain Ted was the absolute perfect host! The boat was very clean and well-equipped. He was patient with the grandkids (ages 9 and 12), showed them lots of fun details about the equipment and the fish, and we all caught our limit! Ted clearly knows what he’s doing. Didn’t hurt that the weather was perfect also! Highly recommend!

We had a great time on the lake, caught our limit and Captian Ted taught the grandkids fun facts about Walleye. Captian Ted was very friendly, engaging and put us on the bite in no time. The half day charter was all we needed. 30 walleye caught and Ted even cleaned the fish on the way back to the dock. The boat was very clean and had everything we needed. He has a system and it very efficient. Would recommend this charter for any age.
