I booked our fishing trip for August last Christmas. The plan was to depart from Depoe Bay, so I rented a beach house in nearby Gleneden Beach.
We received a call from another guide 13 hours before the planned trip to tell us that Mike Woodward was overbooked the day of our trip and could not take us. The other guide offered to take our group out instead. However, this guide could only take us from Nehalem, an hour and a half away. Turns out, that’s where Mike had intended to take us, but there was no communication or indication of this. In fact, the email from Woodys gave a meet-up address in Depoe Bay.
Also, I had arranged with Mike to add another fisherman to our group, but the new guide had no record of that.
We ended up driving the hour and half to Nehalem at 4:30 am in order to fish and drive back after a long day. 
It was very disappointing that Mike didn’t bother call us personally, that he only realized he was overbooked 13 hours before departure, and that the departure location was actually an hour and a half away.
Our group had looked forward to this trip for 8 months. I definitely would not recommend Woody’s. It seems he’s very disorganized and unprofessional.
