Only negative of the trip, no fish pictures

Normally I dont leave Reviews but he asked me to.
The boat was nice. Captain Ryan did all the baiting and casting. Which is cool but for a guy who likes to fish it got a little old. It may be because Im not used to having it so good. Lol
This guy knows how to catch a trout. He can put you on some trout. He showed us how to catch them and even helped us catch our limit on trout in 4hrs.
We had a disagreement… Who was right I’ll let you decide. We started to catch catfish. He didnt want to keep them. I told him not to worry, that he didnt have to clean them. (WHAT I TELL THE OTHER CAPTAINS IVE CHARTERED. IT HAS NEVER BEEN A PROBLEM)  That I brought my electric fillet knife. I would clean the catfish along with the other fish I’d caught the night before. He told me, and I quote, “No! I dont keep catfish on my boat.  They aren’t good to eat. And people would laugh at him if they saw them in his live well” (Mind you, Im paying for a fishing trip to catch fish. If the fish are keepable, I want to keep them.)  He said Im the captain its my boat. If you dont want to do what I say dont ride with me…  So we conceded and continued to fish. After catching our limit on trout we were expecting to move to another species… No! He said he only does trout, and if some Redfish happened to be caught we could keep them. Then he said the trip was over because the trout we had would be hard to switch out.  (They were nice trout, kudos to him and his experience)
So in essence,  I paid for an 8hr trip for 2. Got 10 fish and 4rs of fishing for it. I rented a truck. I drove 2.5 hrs one way and stayed in a motel to go on this trip. I was disappointed to say the least. I didnt mention it to him because I didnt want a confrontation. I paid him in full and gave a gracious tip.  I didnt want him to think I was cheap or broke or just couldnt pay. (Cash) Im a sports fisherman,  I try to catch as many legal fish as I can to fill my freezer. I felt like he was more worried about his pride and what someone else thought instead of the person paying the money… like I said… I’ll let you decide! FOR THE RECORD… AS FAR AS I’VE STATED HERE IS THE EXTENT OF THE LACK OF PROFESSIONALISM IN MY OPINION.  HE WAS NOT NEVER GOT OUT OF CHARACTER IN ANY WAY. JUST WANT TO BE FAIR AND SAY THIS TRIP LEFT A FEELING OF DISPLEASURE.

Ryan was thorough, professional, well prepared and a great guide.He also filleted our trout, and we had it cooked for dinner at a local restaurant.
