Absolutely sometimes it’s intimidating when you’re not a professional fisher these guys did not let off that vibe

Enjoy the fish and experience of fishing in 90-100' of water is different than in the states on a lake!

Do the 5 hour and listen to Martin it might take some time but in a family of six everyone was about to catch more than 2 fish because of him

Take water and snacks. For people with any type of motion sickness, take dramamine the night before then once again. 30 min before you fish

It was our first time fishing here. It was a little slow at first. Eduardo said due to the tides. He worked really hard to get us on the fish and once he got us on them, we caught a lot!!!

Choose a different captain that cares, bring your own bait, hooks lures, close a different company that provides all of the live bait that was promised
Laura Marshall
People told us the fishing would be bad but we caught a lot (for what we expected). Just means you never know. Doesn’t matter if you have fun

Bring sunscreen

Enjoy the experience And cook your fresh fish!

Be prepared with an open mind. You can go on more expensive charters, but the fish don't know the difference.

Fishing was great, be aware of the length of the trip affects the fish you can get to. If you want the larger fish you must book the full day trips.

The fishing in Puerto Penasco was great. I lost my bait or caught a fish every time I dropped my bait

Try May thru September and talk with the locals about which character is best for what to want to catch.

Pretty much everyone only does reef fishing. We went in November and I was told by a guy on the beach there isn't enough daylight to go deep sea in Nov through March.?

Check seasons on what kind of fish you want to catch and plan accordingly. Even reach out to the captain before and see what the options are.

Late August is very warm/hot at Rocky Point (118 degrees on the day we went).Fishing was excellent but would probably be more enjoyable during cooler temperatures.

Yes you will catch something regardless just throw the line in and get ready to start yanking and reeling,

The water was a little rough so motion sickness brackets or Dramamine! We loved it and were catching fish like crazy!

Use Fishing Booker, or do business directly with a captain of a local fishing charter. Beware of the "my uncle owns a boat" guy who is a middle man scammer.

Choose your charter company carefully, they make all the difference between a so-so trip and a great one.

Bring a fishing pole and you can keep fishing off the docks when your trip is over. You can catch trigger fish, halibut and sting rays.

I don't have much experience but the crew was helpful. It was the most beautiful day anyone could ask for when we went out!

The fishing here is primarily bottom fishing for smaller fish. A good number of fish caught can be expected. If your looking for bigger game, you need to get further south in the Sea of Cortez.

Didn't know about slacktied and high tide difference and it was a high tide. Was told to go on slack tide which I will keep in mind now.

It was our first time and it was great fun. We caught mostly Trigger fish on our 3/4 day adventure with Del Mar Fishing Charters.

The Captain said the winds are high in June, July, and August. We are lucky we were able to reschedule for another day.

I would recommend just getting out there and seeing what there is, make sure you’re prepared for the sun as well.

This place is great for either beginners or experienced anglers. If you have no experience and want to get hooked on fishing, try a half day trip and you will be back for more.

Make sure you have a captain who knows where the fish are and is willing to move you around to get them. Jefe would be our first choice.

Yes. The volume of fish can be plentiful, albeit smaller fish. Options for larger fish exist, but may be less plentiful. Each angler's decision to make.

Tell your Captain EXACTLY what kind of fishing experience you want. Otherwise, they can putter around the Bay and just catch basic fish. Not a high skill level. Croakers are everywhere.
