Mindy en Reubin Payne zijn ervaren professionele gidsen op het Kenai-schiereiland. Mindy's vader is al jarenlang gids in Alaska, dus Mindy groeide op in het vak, kocht haar eerste boot en begon op 22-jarige leeftijd met het begeleiden van visreizen.
Reubin liftte 29 jaar geleden als student naar Alaska en werd verliefd op deze geweldige staat en de vismogelijkheden! Hij werkte als gids voor een luxe lodge aan de Cook Inlet waar hij het visgebied, het bedrijf en de gemeenschap leerde kennen. Na 9 jaar wonen en gidsen op het Kenai-schiereiland startte hij in 2001 zijn eigen bedrijf. Nu, na meer dan 25 jaar gidsen in Alaska, houdt hij nog steeds van vissen!
Mindy, Reubin en hun professionele schippers van Alaskan Widespread Fishing Adventures bieden spannende dagtrips aan voor Zalm, Rockfish, Groenling (Lingcod) en Heilbot op de Cook Inlet. U gaat vissen aan boord van hun 32' Koffler-boot, die in 2010 te water werd gelaten. Dit ruime vaartuig kan een topsnelheid van 45 knopen bereiken dankzij de twee 250 pk Suzuki-motoren. Er is voldoende ruimte aan boord voor maximaal 6 vissers om comfortabel en stijlvol te vissen.
De boot is uitgerust met moderne navigatie- en viszoekelectronica om een duidelijk beeld te krijgen van waar de vis zich bevindt. Er is ook een koelbox om de vangst tijdens de dag vers te houden.
Alle trips met Alaskan Widespread Fishing Adventures zijn inclusief materiaal, uitrusting, aas, kunstaas en vliegvisuitrusting indien nodig. Uw vis wordt aan het einde van uw avontuur ook door de bemanning schoongemaakt. Het enige dat ontbreekt, bent u!

Best Fishing Experience!

5 stars all day long. Captain Kyle and the entire crew were awesome from start to finish. Everybody was knowledgeable, worked hard, and put us right on the fish. I limited out on halibut and brought in a handful of cod too. Couldn’t have asked for a better trip or better people to spend the day with. If I make it back to Alaska, I’ll absolutely be booking with them again!

Halibut Fishing

This was the first time we fished for halibut. We booked an 8 hour charter. I was disappointed that the captain was late, but stuff happens. We have all been late to something before. It just kinda sucks, when you get up early and nudge the family along, pack and check out of the hotel. Arrive to the boat early, only to find that the crew is late. We left the harbor about two hours late. There are allot of boats out, it just gets you thinking that some of the better fishing spots may have been taken and the fish may be more active in the early morning. We stayed on the spit for a couple of days and some of charters bring their catch up near the Coal Point Trading Company for pictures and they had some very large halibuts. Starting late was the only issue. The crew was very friendly and knowledgeable. They baited the hooks with frozen herring, gaffed the halibut and brought it into the boat. I appreciated the effort in trying to land a large halibut and persistence in getting the limit. It was beautiful day, could not ask for better weather. Boat and equipment was in good condition. The crew was very nice and professional. Good experience!

Hello John,
Thank you so much for fishing with us and we are very sorry about the situation with our captain being so late. At the time that our deckhand called us, to inform us that the captain was missing, we were VERY worried about his safety and thought something must have happened. This situation had never happened before, and after many attempts to contact him, we immediately had a neighboring friend do a welfare check on him, at his home.
We sincerely apologize and want you to know how uncharacteristic that situation was. We try to control what we can control, and timeliness is the top priority on that list.
We do hope that you'll give us another shot and we hope to see you again in the future. We value your time, and you can bank that it won't happen again.

Good Crew, Good Boat, Good Day

Captain Kyle and Mate Noah were very professional and eager to help us catch fish. Anglers ranged from 13 to 80. All of us caught halibut. Noah had our catch cleaned and ready when we got to the return dock. We dined on fresh fish and shared great memories.
