The goal of M Sport Fishing Cabo is to find the fish, have tight lines and tons of action. This is a family-friendly company founded back in 1986 by Roberto Olascoaga.

The team of M Sport Fishing Cabo operates a large fleet of fantastic vessels. One of their gems is "Merengue", a spacious 40’ Fiorentino. She comes powered by twin 315 HP Cummins engines and can cruise at a top speed of 20 knots. The vessel has plenty of space for up to 6 anglers and is rigged with modern electronics. As well as that, she is equipped with a toilet, a fighting chair, an ice-box for the catch, tuna tubes, and professional equipment.

The boat is operated by Captain Roberto Olascoaga Sr., the founder of M Sport Fishing Cabo. Roberto has over five decades of professional experience and knows the area like the back of his hand. With him at the helm, you can count on having the time of your life.

You’ll be going after a variety of fish species, including the likes of Mahi Mahi, Marlin, Amberjack, Grouper, Spanish Mackerel, and more.

All trips include quality rods, reels, tackle, and lures. Fishing licenses, bait, food, and drinks are available at an extra cost. Come on down and get ready to make some memories together!

Capt and mate worked hard to get us fish.
Full Day Trip - Bare Boat on May 4, 20256 adults
We didn't catch lots of fish but we caught what we were trying to catch. We boated two Marlin and released one. One was injured in the fight and was dying. We got one decent Yellow fin and about 8 or so Bonita. Very rough and windy. I think we did well under the circumstances.

Captain and crew were great, caught a Marlin and a Yellow Fin tuna. Stayed out an hour later than the 8 hours trying to get another Marlin we saw on the way back and fighting with another boat to position us. Great experience overall. Negative note, the guy from Gray’s taxidermy waiting when we returned pressuring a one time deal now. Suggesting that you measure Marlin from the tip of sword to the end of the tail so they know how big to build the crate for shipping. The rates for taxidermy are based on length and you measure Marlin from the bottom of the mouth to the fork of the tail. Probably added 20” to this fish and shipping and packaging is extra. The guy followed me all the way to the restaurant trying to sell me on this.

Full Day Trip with Captain Poncho and Mate Tu-Pac on the Merengue 40'.
Full Day Trip - Bare Boat on October 27, 20214 adults
This was a Full Day Trip with Captain Poncho and Mate Tu-Pac on the Merengue 40'. The captain and Mate were very friendly, knowledgeable and very experienced. They speak good English and worked hard to get us fish. It was a long day with a few bites but no fish boated until 2:15 PM, the captain and mate were so happy and relieved as you know no one wants to be skunked. We caught a big bull Mahi-Mahi, we took the fillets to The Funky Olive which I highly recommend. They cooked it 5 ways plus sushi and sashimi to begin, all with one half of the fish, best fish meal ever! Highly recommend The Funky Olive!
