Would definitely recommend this trip. 10 stars We did the three-hour sunset trip, pike & walleye trip, 4-8. My husband really wanted to fish while we were visiting Calgary and wanted to keep the fish to eat. The fishing regulations allow 1 pike per person per day and within a certain length. There are only a few lakes you can fish and keep the fish. We went to a lake 80 miles from Calgary to fish for pike. Next time we go, we will book a hotel closer to the lake. I have never liked fishing, but now I am looking forward to going back. We plan to do ice fishing with Captain Troy. Captain Troy was a great instructor. He is personable, knowledgeable, patient, helpful, and funny. He has a great boat and equipment. You just have to show up and maybe dress in layers. Would definitely recommend this trip with Captain Troy, especially for people who have a partner that doesn’t exactly like fishing!

We got our pike limit of 1 fish per person - we caught 2 fish we could keep and 1 legal-size walleye the next day we kept. If we could have kept all the fish, we could have filled the boat. I was worried that booking the midday Walleye/Pike fishing trip would be super slow fishing, but we were in luck and Captain Troy put us on some fish right away. My son and I landed fish at the same time twice during our 4 hour excursion. My son by far had the best day, but my daughter and I didn’t do too bad. We all had a great time catching fish and talking with Troy. He’s a very nice guy and wants to put you on the fish. My son Drew and I booked a four hour guide for walleye and northern pike! Almost immediately our guide, Troy had us catching walleye! Then a while later, he put us immediately on the Northern pike! Our guide Troy definitely knows what he’s doing! Great knowledge, great guide and all around great guy! It was like fishing with one of your buddies! I highly highly recommend Troy!! Thanks Troy Drew and I had a BLAST!!

We had so much fun last year I decided to go back again this year, but this time for a 7hr trip. Captain Troy made sure we caught lots of good size fish. Super nice and friendly. Flew my father down from Montreal for the occasion, Father - Son - Grandkid memories…. Priceless!!! Thanks for making this happen Troy
