De Back Down 2 is een indrukwekkende 57' Miller Marine offshore sportvissersboot, volledig gerestaureerd in 2017. Dankzij het volledig geklimatiseerde luxueuze interieur en een groot dek, kan deze boot plaats bieden aan maximaal 6 hengelaars die tegelijkertijd vissen in optimaal comfort en stijl.
Deze vismachine wordt aangedreven door twee Detroit Diesel V8-motoren van elk 600 pk. Het schip beschikt over een vliegbrug, twee toiletten met douches, twee slaapkamers met voldoende slaapruimte voor acht passagiers, en een kombuis. Je vindt ook eersteklas visuitrusting en voorzieningen aan boord – van outriggers en downriggers tot een vechterstoel, levendaastank en koelboxen.
De Back Down 2 is perfect voor zowel meerdaagse expedities op Marlin en Tonijn als gezinsvriendelijke dagcharters. Afhankelijk van je voorkeuren en de doelsoorten kan kapitein Phillip Blackburn je overal van 15 tot wel 160 mijl offshore brengen. Op het menu staan vele interessante soorten, zoals Zeilvis, Marlin, Tonijn, Zwaardvis, Mahi, Red Snapper, Cobia, Koningsmakreel en vele anderen.
De kapitein verzorgt professioneel materiaal, levend aas (gevangen tijdens de reis), kunstaas en vergunningen. Het enige wat je hoeft te doen is komen opdagen en je persoonlijk record vangen!

Great Family Fishing Trip!
5 Hour – Bottom Fishing Trip on November 5, 2025 • 5 adults • 2 children
We had a great time fishing on the Back Down 2! We had 7 family members ranging from 4years old to 72 and everyone had a great time! While we didnt catch anything we could keep (im sure this is common in the off season), we did catch over 60 fish and our kids were thrilled with the day which was our main focus. A wildlife biologist joined our trip to tag fish and that was another cool aspect. He and the first mate were very knowledgeable and helpful. We have a very chatty 7 year old with lots of questions and they both took time to talk with him and answer questions. We hope to visit Destin again in the future and would definitely book this same charter to fish again.

An Unforgettable Family Fishing Trip!
5 Hour – Bottom Fishing Trip - 1:00 PM on July 24, 2025 • 5 adults • 2 children
Captain Phillip and Chris were absolutely amazing! We’re a family of seven, including two sons with autism, and they went above and beyond to accommodate our entire crew. The Back Down 2 was perfect—spacious, clean, and comfortable. The air-conditioned cabin was a lifesaver, giving us a great place to take breaks and cool down.
Even though the water was a bit rough that day, we made the best of it and had a blast. Chris was incredible with our boys—patient, kind, and endlessly helpful. He took the time to teach them how to fish, constantly re-baiting their lines so they could keep having fun without missing a beat.
A few of the kids got a little seasick, but thanks to some Dramamine and the relaxed atmosphere, they bounced back quickly. One of our sons, who’s very expressive, kept yelling, “Help! I got another one!” every time he caught a fish. Chris laughed and said, “I wish I had as much fun fishing as this kid!” It was a moment we’ll never forget.
By the end of the day, we had caught 70 fish—yes, SEVENTY! It was an unforgettable adventure, and we can’t recommend the Back Down 2 enough for families, especially those with kids or special needs. A truly top-notch experience!

Captain Phillip and Brian were awesome! I would guess kids on this type of trip pose a challenge in and of itself, but Brian was awesome with the group! The kids had a blast and we got on fish in a few spots!
Wish we could have caught more, but it wasn’t due to the lack of opportunity! They were there, biting and we caught our share for the trip!
3 Black Snapper, 4 Red Snapper (a couple GIANTS), 3 Spanish mackerel and 3 Bonita!
Not a bad day! Definitely down to book with Back Down 2 again!

We had an absolute blast on our 5hr bottom fishing trip (afternoon)! Caught a ton of Vermillion Snapper (great fish tacos), a few Red Snapper, Red Grouper, Bonita, Trigger Fish, and a couple others. Captain Phillip did a great job of putting us on the fish and moving when necessary to avoid the trash fish. Between me and 6 high school boys, we had multiple fish on the line at all times. Our deckhand (Brian) killed it all afternoon and stayed long after all the other deckhands to filet a massive amount of fish. Would highly recommend! -Ty (Dallas, TX)
