Welcome aboard "Saltwater Adventures" with Capt.Tony Battista as your host.

The boat is a custom 25' CC that was built right here in Ocean City. It is powered by 200 HP "Yamaha" outboard, equipped with "Simrad" electronics and a 36 V "Minn Kota" Riptide Instinct Quest trolling motor.

"Light Tackle Fishing" is what we do. We pride ourselves in using only quality rods and reels. "No junk on this boat"......
Fishing is a huge passion of Capt.Tony. He has been fishing the waters in and around Ocean City for better than 50 years now.

Even on his days off, you will find him fishing with family and friends. It never gets old for him.

Capt. Tony will do what it takes to make sure you have the best experience possible. He is a great teacher and always willing to help you improve. From beginners to the more experienced, you will learn techniques that will improve your success on the water.

Clients have expectations when they book a trip and it is up to the captain to understand this.

Capt. Tony has built his businesses telling his clients the truth about the weather and fishing conditions that day. He is not in the "boat ride" business.

Somethings can't be controlled, but you wasting your money can…...

That being said, there are a lot of factors (science) involved when choosing when the best time is to take a trip. Tides, water temperature, water clarity and wind.

Time is also another concern, "How long of a trip should you book?" The answer varies. Are you looking just to bend the rods or do you want to take fish home with you or enjoy the "Hook & Cook" option at Fish Tales?

For a family with young kids just looking to bend some rods, a 2 hour trip is fine. You still have the opportunity to catch some keepers, but there are some limitations. That being time & distance.

If you are looking for the latter, I would suggest at least 3 hours if not 4.

These are all things Capt. Tony can discuss with you as your trip date approaches.

Great day on the water!

2 HR "Back Bay" Intro To Fishing on August 4, 2025 • 3 adults

I recently took my two daughters on their very first fishing trip in Ocean City, MD, and it was an experience we’ll never forget! We went out with Captain Tony, and even though the fishing conditions weren’t ideal that day, he made the entire trip enjoyable, educational, and fun for all of us. Captain Tony was patient, friendly, and great with the kids—he took the time to teach them how to cast and reel in, and his passion for being on the water really showed. Despite the less-than-perfect conditions, we managed to catch three flounder, and one of them was a keeper! You should’ve seen the excitement on my daughters’ faces—it was priceless. It was more than just a fishing trip; it was quality family time with some exciting catches along the way. Highly recommend booking a trip with Captain Tony if you’re in Ocean City—especially if you’re bringing kids or looking for a first-time fishing adventure. We’ll definitely be back for another trip!

A Kind Soul

AM 4 Hour Near Shore Wreck Fishing on July 19, 2025 • 2 adults

5 stars! My significant other and I are from Vermont. We drove multiple hours to get to Maryland for this charter. We were understandably both tired and the weather took a turn for the worst. Tony was amazing and still brought us on a tour around the bay! He went out of his way to offer us a make up day. We caught fish and truly enjoyed his company. He was very generous and kind. We loved our experience even with the few hiccups we had. The boat is clean comfortable and the equipment is top notch. Tony is a good teacher and knows what he is doing. Definitely recommend this charter. Also a note Tony seems well known and liked for his character he got many smiles, waves. He tried to help another boat that was out of power-all around a great person! Thank you Tony!

3hr trip with Capt. Tony

AM 3 Hour Back Bay Morning Trip on July 21, 2025 • 2 adults • 1 child

Booked a 3hr trip on 7/21 with Saltwater Adventures. Capt. Tony was very knowledgable and put us on fish within 30mins. It was my 7 y/o grandsons first time out and Capt. Tony was great with him. He was very patient, and went out of his way to make sure he was included in every aspect of our trip. By the time our trip was finished we caught close to 20 fish (croaker, flounder and sea bass). And capped it off with a 22in flounder to take home. I cant say enough how much we enjoyed the morning. And will definitely be our first choice for future trips.

Absolutely incredible 4th of July fishing trip!!

Took a group of four out for a amazing 4th of July fishing trip with Captain Tony! My two sons and one of their girlfriends, and we couldn't stop reeling the fish in! Smiles all around! Tony was a great, fun and enthusiastic captain who put us right on the fish! Kept us moving when spots seemed dry and always had us pulling Trigger fish out of the water for the whole four hours.I could not reccomend Captain Tony enough! Looking forward to booking with him in the future. Don't go anywhere else if you want to catch fish and have an Enjoyable fishing experience.

Tough conditions on a windy day

AM 4 Hour Near Shore Wreck Fishing on August 27, 2025 • 2 adults

Captain Tony did a great job helping us grind out some good fish on a day when conditions were not idea. His knowledge of the local waters helped save the day by putting us on fish even though the wind was not cooperating. He even extended our trip time to make sure we had every opportunity to put a few more in the cooler. Highly recommend him if you are looking for a reputable captain. We will definitely book with him in the future.

Thank you. It was a pleasure fishing with you and your son. Wish I could apologize for Mother Nature. I hope you enjoyvthe fresh Triggerfish for dinner. Crazy, but the wind laid out this afternoon for about 2 hours and the flounder turned on. I'm glad I'm a captain and not the weatherman. It qould suck having people mad at you all if the time.
