Saltwater Safari Company handhaaft zijn reputatie als de toonaangevende Alaska charter viservice en pionier van de Seward, Alaska langeafstandsvisgronden. Opgericht in 1990, hebben eigenaren Capt. Bob Candopoulos en Captain Bobby Savino samen 60 seizoenen ervaring met vissen in deze wateren. Met hun twee ongelofelijke 53' Delta charterboten Legend en Legacy en de 43' Renegade hebben ze strategisch de oceaanbodem in kaart gebracht, dag na dag, seizoen na seizoen, en de meest ongeloflijke langeafstandsvisgronden ontwikkeld die Alaska ooit heeft gezien!
Seward, Alaska wordt al lang beschouwd als een van 's werelds toonaangevende bestemmingen voor sportvissers en biedt een breed scala aan vismogelijkheden die aan uw specifieke behoeften voldoen. Gelegen op slechts 2 uur van Anchorage, biedt Seward enkele van de beste licht materiaal vissen voor Silver en King Zalm tot diepzeegevechten met de Reuzen Stille Oceaan Heilbot. Vissers van over de hele wereld komen samen in de kleine kustgemeenschap Seward, Alaska om hun vaardigheden te testen en hun geluk te beproeven met vissen in een van de meest schilderachtige omgevingen die je je kunt voorstellen!
De Golf is rijk aan alles wat nodig is om deze ongelofelijke visserij in stand te houden. Offshore riffen en diepe structuren herbergen een enorme verscheidenheid aan bodemvissoorten. Het is helemaal niet ongewoon dat een gelukkige visser een reuzen Stille Oceaan Heilbot aan het drillen is terwijl anderen monster Groenling (Lingcod) of enorme yellow-eye en Black Rockfish binnenhalen.
Vangstlimieten zijn als volgt:
Heilbot: 2 per persoon (één moet onder de 28' zijn)
Rockfish: 3 per persoon
Zalm: tot 6 per persoon
Groenling (Lingcod): 1 per persoon
Stille Oceaan Kabeljauw: geen limiet
Onze bemanning zal uw vangst schoonmaken en voor u inpakken, en er zijn vacuümverzegeling/verzendopties beschikbaar als u dat wenst.
*Onze boten zijn gedeelde trips met 12-16 vissers. Om de hele boot exclusief te reserveren, moet u contact met ons opnemen
*Vanaf 2026 zijn heilbotzegels nu verplicht en worden rechtstreeks bij ons gekocht voor $20.
*Een brandstoftoeslag kan in rekening worden gebracht als de brandstofprijzen boven de $5/gallon uitkomen

Lots of fishes! Great scenery!
Full Day Offshore –Halibut July/Aug op July 11, 2025 • 1 volwassene
The boat was very nice and very well maintained. The fishing gear was also very good and well maintained. The fishing mates/guides prepared all the fishing tackle and baits very well, provided good guidance, and were quick to help people when they "hooked up!" The day I went out there were big 6 ft. - 7 ft. rolling waves, so the captain selected areas to fish that were a bit sheltered from the big waves. Most people on the boat (about 14 of us total) caught several fish; I landed a halibut, 2 coho salmon, 2 black sea bass, an "arrow-tooth flounder", and lost one salmon. The scenery is spectacular, and there's wildlife like puffins to see as well - I really enjoyed the whole trip. It was a bit bouncy though, and a couple of people gave up their breakfast! If you're vulnerable at all to sea sickness, medicate before to leave the dock!

Bobby was good with communicating and somewhat accommodating to me and my group as I added to my group a day or so before the trip. I do have a negative comment which may be towards fishing booker rather than saltwater safari (why I am leaving 5 stars for them) is that with the only highway between anchorage and Seward being shut down due to an accident from 4 am to 8:30 am the day of my 7am charter, I was unable to make it to the boat on time. I was not refunded for the deposit. It sucked having to miss out on fishing and losing the money but I guess It’s my fault for assuming the highway would be open.

Hard not to rate a fishing trip based on the results, but I will try. Thirteen guests, about half were Alaskan locals, several with many years of experience. Boat was great, crew was fantastic, and results were amazing. We went for several species. I think everyone limited out. I’m visiting from upstate NY state. Would definitely recommend, and would fish again with same company.

Made the best out of a tough situation

We had great weather and were expecting to do really well in terms of limiting out on fish. Unfortunately, we struggled to find the halibut (as did most other boats out on the water). The crew did a great job of being versatile and moving to locations where we could try to get the best out of our trip. Some of us did come home with halibut, but everyone was able to get their fill of rockfish.

The crew were knowledgeable, professional and friendly. The trip out was beautiful with snow capped mountains on all sides for most of the ride. The crew had everything set when it was time to fish and patiently worked with anyone having trouble with the gear. We all caught several fish a piece and our 11 &12 year olds had a blast. Highly recommend these guys for a fun halibut cruise.
