Had a 3 hour charter today with Captain Brian, he is wonderful! He was very friendly, personable, and authentic. Additionally, he took the time to show us the basics of fishing as well as provide tips and tricks that we can use in the future. He really cares about you and your experience, and is there to provide guidance and help when needed. He was very involved, consistently ensuring that our lines had bait, were cast appropriately, and was very supportive and helpful when we caught fish. His time management was excellent, he ensured we were able to get as much fishing time as possible. He is also very knowledgeable and willing to teach. In addition to learning how to fish successfully, he taught us about each fish as we would catch them! I’d recommend him any day, and look forward to going back on one of his charters at some point soon!

We had such a wonderful time on our fishing trip with Captain Brian today! Even with the weather being a little challenging, he truly made the absolute best of it and kept the experience fun, relaxed, and enjoyable from start to finish. His knowledge of the area really showed—he knew exactly where to take us, and we were able to catch a snook and a sheepshead! Beyond the catches, he made the whole outing feel easy and memorable. We appreciated his patience, his guidance, and how attentive he was to making sure we enjoyed ourselves. It was a great day on the water, and we’re already looking forward to booking with him again. We did the 3 hour trip and it was the perfect amount of time! Captain Brian was very knowledgeable and helped us every step of the way. He was very patient taught us all of his tips and tricks. We caught a bunch of Ladyfish, Speckled Trout, and Mackerel. It also helped that he knew all of the best spots. We were catching fish almost every cast. Definitely going to be booking again next year!

My wife and I , along with our two daughters (aged 14 and 11) have been on several saltwater charters over the past few years, with varying degrees of success. Every experience has been positive. We are avid fisherman in our home state of MN. I am a very experienced fisherman , my wife and daughters are less experienced. First off , Brian is very serious about catching fish. He was hired to do a job , and he certainly excelled at giving us consitent and plentiful opportunities on nice trout and redfish. Brian is so serious about the fishing , that he let our 11 year old hear about it multiple times , when she didn’t follow his instruction to a T. It rubbed me the wrong way at first , but we let it roll and she seemed to take it in stride. I wish he could have approached this differently , but the end result was my child lazer focused , and catching more nice fish than she ever has. As a matter of fact , we all caught a lot of fish , and I even landed a 30” redfish made possible only by the captain putting me in the perfect situation. Brian will also guard your fising spot like a bulldog. One boat of googans tried stealing our drift after they must have been spying on us hammering the fish through binoculars. Brian quickly dealt with assailants by blocking their path and making sure they were aware that they had violated the code of the flats. Although I don’t disagree with Capatain Brian on the ethics of what happened , I think the prudent course of action, with kids on the boat , should have been something other that intiiating a close range verbal confrontation with other fisherman. In the instance that a boat passed by at a higher speed than we would have liked , Captain Brian greeted rhem with the one finger salute and some choice words. Again, I did not disagree with the Captains sentiment …but , there are kids onboard. Brian is a very skilled fisherman and knows his waters very well. Would we fish with him again? Absolutely. His softer side starts to come through later in the trip. He’s passionate about what he does , and that is what its all about.

Captain Brian took our party of three out to celebrate my son’s 10th birthday. The icing on the cake was being able to take home enough Sea Trout to feed our party back home AS WELL AS a hard fight with a Bonnethead Shark. My son now wants to trade off ice fishing and the Midwest to guide on his own someday just like Brian. This was a short but truly memorable trip for the books. We would recommend Brian to anyone wanting to quickly learn the ways of the flats of the gulf.
