What a Day on the Water!!
Full Day Trip – Offshore on July 1, 20254 adults
We had an unforgettable time on our first-ever family fishing charter! The weather was perfect — sunny and clear all day. We were lucky enough to hook some BIG fish, and the excitement was nonstop. The captain was super friendly and made sure we didn’t go home empty-handed. We truly enjoyed the experience from start to finish. Can’t wait to go again!

**Reasoning:** The Vermilion Snapper (Rhomboplites aurorubens) is a species found primarily in the western Atlantic Ocean, particularly in the Gulf of Mexico and along the southeastern United States coast. This species is not native to Dutch-speaking regions (Netherlands, Belgium, Suriname) and does not have an established common name in Dutch among anglers in those areas.

According to the glossary provided, "Vermillion Snapper" is listed, but following the guidelines that fish species not commonly found or referred to in Dutch-speaking regions should retain the English name, and the instruction not to invent new names, the appropriate translation is to keep the original English name.

Great day!
Half Day Trip – Inshore (AM) on June 13, 20256 adults
Took this trip with my wife, our 2 kids, and my mom and dad. We had a great time and had beautiful weather. Captain Kevin is awesome, great guy! After he fileted our fish, we took them to Conchy Joe's around the corner and they prepared them for lunch. Delicious! Can't wait to do it again. We all highly recommend Kovach Fishing Charters!

Captain Kevin was a very nice a knowledgeable person and a great teacher for beginners, we had a rough start with fish for the day but we finished off strong with a beautiful king fish and plenty of fun small fish from the bottom. 10/10 would recommend a trip with kevin, worth every penny!

Fishing with Kevin
Half Day Trip – Inshore (PM) on December 26, 20252 adults
No bells and whistles but fun nonetheless. Captain Kevin is knowledgeable, kind, and accommodating! My husband and I had a lot of fun and would charter him again. Ladies- FYI, no bathroom. You’ll have to go for a swim for that. 😉
Response from Captain
December 27, 2025
Thank you for the review Mrs. Keogh. You are correct about the no bells and whistles, that's how I keep my prices affordable, from my experience with saltwater bells and whistles tend to break very often. You are correct about the boat not having a full stand-up bathroom (due to the catamaran hull) however I do have a portable camping style toilet in the center console.
