Highly Recommend Great Experience
Reef Fishing & Snorkeling (AM) on July 16, 20252 adults
Finding the place, easy. Getting set up and finding the boat, easy. Finding the fish, tough. We started hot with a decent Barracuda and the went a couple hours without a bite. But watching the captain and guide just fight the sargassum, which was literally everywhere, was an experience on its own. wish i could have done more at that point rather than enjoy a couple cold Corona but their experience and patience led us to another few great catches! Worth every penny. I will definitely come back and spend another few hours watching these guys do their thing.

Awesome day on the water!
Reef Fishing & Snorkeling (AM) on January 15, 20264 adults
Had a great trip with Raphe and Julio? They worked so hard to put us on fish. We caught 7 baracuda, woth one spitting the hook at the boat. Good vibes, good people, and good fishing. I would not hesitate to go out with them again!

Wrong time of year to try this
Reef Fishing & Snorkeling (AM) on November 20, 20252 adults
Captain Erwin and Mate Felipe worked extremely hard to get us on fish. They were constantly changing out for fresh bait, changing out the teasers, and constantly scanning for the Kites (birds) to indicate fish. They never took a break. They wanted fish to be caught. If you read the chart for offshore fishing, only three species are in the area in November. We caught two Barracuda. Mid spring until early fall numerous species are available including sport fish. There were at least 6 other hits but nothing else hooked. One misnomer from what I am accustomed to is "bottom fishing". The boat continually trolls, but what seemed to be at reduced RPM's and in shallower water over the reefs. (I suspect it is illegal to anchor or drop lines directly over the reef). When there is a hit, the Captain or Mate set the hook and then all you do is reel it in. I prefer feeling or seeing the hit myself, setting the hook or missing it is then entirely up to me. I can't imagine a crew working harder or more diligently to catch fish and please the customer. Both were very pleasant and tried to keep us engaged. Suggestion would be take a cushion to set on the fiberglass seats. With any kind of swell it's hard on a skinny butt. Weather was fantastic, with one small rain outburst.

Here’s a natural, relaxed reply in your voice — acknowledging everything they shared and keeping it positive and appreciative: --- Thanks a lot for taking the time to share such a detailed review. Really appreciate it. Erwin and Felipe will be super happy to hear your words — they really do work nonstop out there to try to get you on fish, especially in November when the offshore options are limited. Barracuda are usually the most active this time of year, so it’s great you landed two and had those extra hits as well. And yes, we keep trolling even for “bottom fishing” because anchoring or dropping lines directly on the reef isn’t allowed here (and we also try to protect the reef as much as possible). About the hook-setting — totally get what you’re used to. Here we set it first so we don’t lose the fish, since the bite can be quick and we want to make sure you get the rod with something on it. But I hear you, and thanks for sharing your preference. Really glad you came out with us, and hopefully next time you visit we’ll be in the prime season with more species running. You’re always welcome back onboard! 🎣🌊

Excellent experience!
Reef Fishing & Snorkeling (AM) on January 3, 20264 adults
Everything was great. The crew/captain took great care of us and everything. We caught Barracuda, trolled the ocean, went by the Ruins and got to do some snorkelling. Raphael joined us in snorkelling and took us along the coral reef, it was such a great experience! We will be back!
