Elsey Usher Fishing operates around the stunning Caye Caulker, taking groups out to explore Belize’s unique scenery and enjoy its incredible angling. Captain Elsey Usher has been fishing here since he was a kid and knows all the best spots to bring in some monsters, whatever style of fishing you’re after.
Capt. Elsey prides himself on the variety of trips he offers. Pick a half or full day trip. Choose between the reefs and the bluewaters. Pull in some tasty Yellowtail Snapper in the shallows or drop lines for deep-water Grouper and even Swordfish. However you spend the day, you never have to go far in these deep, warm waters.
You will be fishing aboard Capt. Elsey’s 25’ Imemsa center console, the “Agua Mala.” The boat is powered by a clean-burning Honda engine to get you to the fishing grounds without the smelly diesel fumes. Once you get there, you’ll be given quality fishing tackle and a choice of lures of live bait fresh from the tank to tempt in even the fussiest fish.
Everyone is warmly welcomed aboard the Agua Mala, from families and kids to seasoned sportfishers. As long as you can swim, Capt. Elsey would love to show you his native seas. He provides snacks and drinks on every trip and even throws in a tasty lunch on full day charters.
Making your time onboard special is a point of pride for Capt. Elsey. He can meet you at a convenient dock on Caye Caulker and will fillet all your fish after your trip. As an added bonus, he can take you to the local Tarpon sanctuary to hand feed the Silver King himself. This is setting up to be a truly unforgettable fishing trip.

Reef Fishing and Snorkeling Combo
Esley was a great captain
Esley was able to pick us up at the dock of our airbnb on time. we went and cast netted some live bait and almost immediately caught some baracuda. we probally caught 8 baracuda in about 1.5 hours. Then we went to snapper fish pulling in 2 lane snapper and one mutton. Then we went diving lobster hotels and ended up with 13 keeper lobster. after this we went searching for conch. we ended up with 4 in about an hour. after this we went to the reserve and snorkled with sharks/stingrays/fish/etc in crystal clear water.

Full Day Deep Sea Fishing
Good day out
Saw some fly fish and several dolphins on the way out. Started with catching a few Barracudas. Got a Mahi Mahi on the line and it was almost up when a quite big Lemon Shark took the Mahi Mahi and got on the hook and we took it in and then released it. Two Tunas was on the hook but where lost at least one due to a now following Lemon Shark. Caught two Mahi Mahi of which one was big (and a mackerel). All of this turned into really good Sashimi, Cerviche, fried and curry!!

Full Day Deep Sea Fishing
A great day on the water
Went to go deep sea fishing but the wind was not in our favour . We chose to do a day of reef fishing . Had so much fun and caught a variety of fish. Our captain was very knowledgeable and just an all around great person. Very friendly and polite. Once we were done fishing we cleaned them by the tarpon feeding dock and all the big fish knew it was snack time. We had some of our catch fillet and then straight to the restaurant we went. Esley recommended a place to use and even dropped us off at the restaurants dock. Overall great experience and would highly recommend anyone who wants to have a great day on the water regardless of weather . 11/10.

Half Day Trip - Reef (AM)
Amazing morning with Esley
This was our second time in Belize, but first time staying in Caye Caulker. Booked the trip way in advance without any issues. Original trip was for December 2nd, but Esley suggested we move it to the following day due to high winds which we had no problem with. From the moment we met Esley we found him extremely friendly and knowledgeable. He fished along side us and was able to get us on a good amount of fish. He also cleaned them how I requested. Overall great experience and I highly recommend this trip. Book with Esley, you will not be disappointed. Thank you for memories that will last a life time.

Full Day Deep Sea Fishing
great time fishing
esley came to our dock to pick us up. we did a full day deepsea. getting out past the reef was tricky due to larger than normal waves. Once we got out there it was game on. we ended up cathcing 12 fish. mahi mahi and barracuda. once we docked, Esley filleted one of our fish so we could take it to Reinas and have it cooked for us. All in all, a great time fishing.
