Book your next trip with Robert Soto’s Watersports and find out what the fishing in George Town is all about. With Captain Jonathan at the helm, you'll benefit from years of knowledge and experience.
Around here it's common to catch Mutton Snapper, Yellowtail Snapper, Horse-eye Jack, Great Barracuda, and more with any luck. On the day of your trip you're likely to troll and bottom fish using light tackle.
Any fish within the legal limit are yours to keep. Catch cleaning is available, so you can take your fish home to eat. How's that for fresh seafood?
If you're traveling with the family, you will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own. Feel free to bring your own snacks so that nobody gets grumpy on an empty stomach!
You'll be fishing aboard a 37' Intrepid sportfishing boat with room for 6 passengers. It has all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. There's a toilet on board for your convenience. Rods, reels, and tackle are covered by the charter, along with lures.
A First Mate will be there to make sure everything is running smoothly. Mates work hard to make your trip count, so a 10–20% tip is customary.
Before coming aboard, it will be necessary to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species might be protected or require a tag to keep them, so make sure you know what to expect.
It's recommended to bring sunblock (non-spray), and sunglasses. There will be some drinks on offer, but let the captain know if you wish to bring your own. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but try to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
And that's it! Your fishing trip with Robert Soto’s Watersports is just a click away.
