Lucky Sport Fishing Baja has been putting people on fish for over 35 years. Your guides Juan Fischer and JB will do their best to secure a successful day on the water, even if this is your first time fishing! Join them in Ensenada, where the fishing season never stops.

To make your trip more comfortable, the captain can arrange a pickup in Ensenada free of charge. If you’re coming from the US, he can go as far as the US border, which is around 80 miles, at an extra cost.

Once you onboard the 36’ Luhrs offshore boat, your adventure starts. There’s enough room for 8 guests to fish in comfort, so you don’t have to wait for your turn. The boat has been restored in 2019 and is powered by twin 200 HP Diesel engines. She’s very comfortable and offers a smooth ride, even in offshore waters. The boat features a flybridge, a private toilet, and a cabin with seating space.

Trips closer to the shore can get you Yellowtail, White Seabass, Bonita, Rockcod, and Lingcod. If you take a longer trip, you’ll have more time to go offshore and target Striped Marlin, Tuna, Barracuda, Mako Shark, or Mahi Mahi.

Feel free to bring your food and drinks, and don’t forget to purchase your fishing license.

Hello. I'm not a fishing person but my spouse enjoys fishing. This is my first time booking a fishing trip. I used my credit card to book $75 and rest due at the ship day of trip.Parking can be tricky , we found a legal spot to safely park my Tahoe plus we noticed a parking structure that was open for our next trip. Fish was small but it could be the time of year. Last year in October they were all big.so now we know.the 2 man crew were respectful and attentive. I felt safe and relaxed. I recommend this place which is also cheap to what you pay in the us.

November fishing trip

3/4 day trip on November 1, 2025 • 6 adults

We (group of 5) took the 3/4 day trip, our 2nd trip with this captain. I think a decent catch is almost guaranteed with them. We opted to purchase live bait. Squid bait is provided, and works, but live bait seems to work much better. We caught about 30, lingcod, rockfish, whitefish, mackerel mix. The crew has long experience here, patient teachers,where needed, and attentive. Mid-day fresh ceviche was great! We’ll probably take the full day next time, hoping for yellowtail and mahi mahi. We recommend for an enjoyable day trip!

Great fishing operation!

My girlfriend and I booked this trip and had some scheduling issues on our end due to an itenerairy change on our cruise ship. The captain was understanding and accommodated our schedule change upon request. After boarding, we drove out to the fishing grounds and begun to catch rock fish. My girlfriend and I were both feeling a little under the weather, but we made the best of it with the time that we had. Great Captain, Great Crew; would definitely fish with them again!

AMAZING FISHING TRIP !

3/4 day trip on August 25, 2025 • 3 adults

We had an amazing fishing day! We were able to catch yellowtail, rockfish whitefish sculpin. Alberto and Juan did a great job on the boat. Marcos was our connection and this trip did not disappoint us. They took care of everything. All the tackle fishing poles, they cleaned our fish, and they even made sashimi with some of the yellowtail we caught. I would highly recommend Luckys it would definitely come back again, Martin, Rachelle and Gilo

highlight of our cruise vacation

we had a fantastic experience fishing in Encinada. The day went perfectly! We caught many fish, the first within 15 minutes of boarding the well equipped boat. This half day fishing trip was the highlight of our family cruise vacation. Would definitely do this again.
