Join Skipper Andre Labuschagne of Delarey Charters on a fun trip and discover the allure of excellent South African fishing! Your guide has spent well over 30 years exploring the area and he’s always willing to go the extra mile to put you on a bite.

From light tackle to fly fishing, from handlining to spearfishing, whatever you’d like to do, Skipper Andre can make it happen. His 28’ Butt Cat is rigged with twin 115 HP Yamaha engines and well-suited for different types of fishing. Up to 7 anglers can fit comfortably on board and fish at the same time.

You’ll use quality Penn rods and reels for conventional fishing, and spearfishing is also an option, just let your skipper know in advance so that he can prepare everything. If fly fishing is the name of your game, Andre will provide you the fly fishing gear. When you need a break, grab the snorkeling equipment and jump into the water to cool off and admire the marine life.

Fishing in South Africa is top-notch throughout the year and depending on how much time you want to spend on the water, there’s a slew of fish you can target. On half day trips, you’ll usually focus on different Snapper species, as well as Kob, Yellowtail, and Leerfish. Full day expeditions last 8 hours and they’ll take further offshore to target Sailfish, Marlin, Tuna, Mahi Mahi, Wahoo, and the list goes on.

Whether you come with your friends or your family, Skipper Andre will do everything in his power to show you a good time, and he’ll provide life jackets for the kids as well. On your side, you should buy a fishing license before your trip, and pack sunscreen, towels, and plenty of food and drink to last the trip. After that, you’re good to go.
