Gitana Fishing, Dive, and Island Charters biedt volledige, halve dag- en nachtvissentrips, samen met speervissen trips. Met veel avonturen om uit te kiezen, is er minstens één die perfect voor jou is. Of je nu een beginner bent of een ervaren visser, je bent welkom om samen met schipper Gabriels en zijn team te vissen.

Je gaat vissen op een 28' center console 'Gitana' die plaats biedt aan maximaal 6 gasten. De boot wordt aangedreven door twee 140 PK Suzuki-motoren. Ze is uitgerust met International 50 Reels en Penn 2 speed 30 reels. De boot heeft nieuwe elektronica met HD-radar, premium geluidssysteem met een 2600 watt versterker die verbinding maakt met de Bluetooth van de klant. Je vindt er ook een privé, doorspoelbaar toilet. De boot is aangepast met outriggers, downriggers en dredge teasers.

Er zijn verschillende vissoorten om te vangen, allemaal afhankelijk van hoe ver van de kust je gaat. Dichter bij de kust heb je de kans om Roostervis, Tandbaars, Snapper en Koningsmakreel te vangen, terwijl je ver op open zee Marlijn, Goudmakreel, Wahoo, Tonijn, Zeilvis en nog veel meer kunt vangen.

Snacks, maaltijden en drankjes zijn bij de prijs inbegrepen. Een GoPro-camera kan je hele ervaring opnemen en je helpen deze ervaring voor altijd te onthouden. Na de trip zal de bemanning ook je vangst schoonmaken.

Gitana-merchandise kan op de boot worden gekocht om je ervaring te herinneren. Vismontageservices kunnen worden geleverd door Gray Taxidermy.

Roosterfish !

Full day Rooters fish on February 14, 2026 • 2 adults

We went fishing specifically for roosterfish. We had an amazing catch of 7 roosterfish, all a good size. The experience was WOW! As an added bonus, we were lucky enough to see dolphins and whales up close; it was magical. Gabriel and his team are pros; they know the fishing techniques for each target species well—they're true professionals! Even the snack was delicious. We recommend them without hesitation and will definitely choose them again. Thank you, Gabriel, and your friendly crewman, for the wonderful day!

Bottom fish trips on January 15, 2026 • 2 adults

This was the first of two different Charter Boat Fishing tripa I booked for myself and my 21 year old daughter. It was an all around excellent trip. Never fishes in Costa Rica. Very different than expected but no disappointments. Not knowing what to expect, we stayed relatively close to shore but we in 35-50 foot depths. Slow trolling. I would have thought we would have done more casting but that wasn’t the case. It was more like deep sea fishing where they mate used live bait and set a few rods as we slowly trolled. Don’t let that be discouraging as we hooked a 4 lb Yellow Tail Snapper quickly. Then a 5+ lb Snook and bigger Jack. About 90 minutes in I landed a 18-20lb Snook. Great day and delicious eating Snapper and Snook. Definitely would recommed going out as early as possible.

A 30 year dream come true

Full day inshore trips on November 2, 2025 • 4 adults

I have had a dream for more than thirty years to come to Costa Rica and catch a Rooster fish. I have been fishing for more than fifty five years,and have fished all over the world, north to south,east to west and have caught from Marlin to sardines. The last fish on my bucket list was a Rooster. I brought my wife, my sister who is also fishing crazy as well as my brother inlaw with on this trip. I booked with Gabriel hoping for that magic to happen. We were picked up at 7.0am and went out for a day of inshore fishing specifically targeting Roosters. Less than an hour into the trip, my first ever Rooster was landed. We went on to land a total of three Roosters for the trip. Gabriel and the crew were absolute professionals in all aspects, the live bait was of the best quality as well as the boat and tackle. We were the only ones to catch on the day and landed three fish for three bites. Goes to prove how good the guys are. I don't easily recommend anybody for any reason, however I absolutely recommend Gabriel to anyone who has a dream like I had.

Pompano Perfection

Half day inshore pm on December 21, 2025 • 5 adults

Captain Gabriel was quick to respond. He helped my elderly father get on and off the water taxi and boat. There was a cooler of cold drinks and delicious pineapple. He knew where we might find red snapper and we caught 2 lovely keepers. Then we caught another 2 pompano fish. So beautiful! While fishing we saw several sea turtles and an amazing display as a male humback whale breached the surface and took off for the sky. Incredible! I would highly recommend Captain Gabriel and his crew. We would definitely go back!

Bucket List Rooster Fishing for the WIN

Half day inshore trips am on December 5, 2025 • 2 adults

Gabriel and Jose were awesome!! We met early on the beach via water taxi for a half day of Inshore Fishing for the elusive Rooster Fish. Gabriel and his mate put us on the fish within the 1st 1/2 hour of the trip! All 4 of us caught Rooster Fish. We caught some Jack's as well. We got to see the beautiful view of Playa Hurradura from the boat and even saw a couple Sea Turtles. As an avid fisherwoman and man we were very happy with the trip. Thank you for an all around great trip! Pura Vida!!
