Ocho Rios Fishing Adventure is a perfect charter for all beginner anglers out there. Captain Anthony specializes in teaching other people how to catch their first fish or bring their skills to a higher level. With him by your side, you’ll quickly get used to the equipment and learn how to recognize when to start reeling.

The trip starts on a 28’ Wharewarf boat that accommodates up to 4 guests. The vessel is powered by a 40 HP Yamaha engine and features a GPS, a cooler, outriggers, and snorkeling equipment.

Being a beginner doesn’t mean you have to settle with small fish from shallow spots. Aim higher and get your hands on big game fish in a matter of hours. Capt. Anthony will take you offshore, where you can target Mahi Mahi, Barracuda, Tuna, Kingfish, Wahoo, and even Sailfish. The trips last from 2 to 4 hours, so you don’t have to commit to a whole day on the water if this isn’t your comfort zone.

All fishing equipment is included in the price, as well as bottled water and catch cleaning service. You only need to pack some snacks, a hat, and sunglasses.

The kids are welcome to join and get their own chance at catching their first trophy. Who knew that learning something can be that fun.

amazing time, captain Anthony is amazing

We had a fabulous time. Anthony picked us up bright and early at the resort right on time. We booked only a two hour trip but recommend three or more to be safe. We caught a barracuda, super exciting. The weather was perfect and the captain navigated the waves so well. I wish we had booked a half day to spend more time. He was so personable and friendly, as was his mate who navigated at the bow. Cannot stress how professional everyone is, and it was definitely worth the value. A++++

We had an absolutely amazing day out on the water with Anthony. From the moment he picked us up to the moment he brought us back, everything was incredibly professional, smooth, and genuinely heartfelt. Anthony is not only an expert at what he does, but also one of the kindest and most welcoming people you could hope to meet. Even though we didn’t catch anything this time, the experience itself was unforgettable beautiful scenery, great company, and a guide who truly cares about making your day special. I left feeling completely happy and grateful, and I’m already looking forward to the next trip. Hopefully the big catch will be waiting for us then! Highly recommended!

Great day of Jamaican Fishing!

4 Hour Trip on December 2, 2025 • 1 adult

My experience started out with excellent and prompt communication. Everyone was as friendly and professional as could be. Ten minutes in, fish on! A small blackfin tuna. About 40 mins later, hooked into and landed a 30# wahoo. 30 mins after, another tuna. Then lost what was likely another small tuna. Finally got triple whacked by a good size kingfish that sadly didn't stick. The crew worked hard, regularly changing up lures and trying different spots, looking for the lucky combination. Their eyes constantly scanning the horizon for birds and bait. They handled their boat expertly over the shallow sandbar between the ocean and river we left from. I have zero complaints or criticisms. Fair prices, flawless service, lots of fun. I highly recommend booking with these guys. Thanks so much for a great trip! Tight lines!

Really a great trip!

Captain Anthony and his first mate were excellent. He was funny and kind. We had really big ocean swells that day after a storm and one in our group got sea sick and Captain Anthony was very kind and compassionate. He offered to take her back but she wanted to continue and actually ended up catching a nice yellow finned snapper. It was a good trip and we thoroughly enjoyed it!

Wonderful experience!

Captain Anthony, Gary, (and I forgot the drivers name) made this trip very enjoyable even if we didn’t catch anything. We still had some good laughs and a nice trip. Captain Gary was very informative and let us ask questions, happily willing to answer. Captain Anthony was super friendly, punctual, and communicative. We look forward to coming back!
