Captain Jason will help you discover the same passion he’s had for years and show you a new way to relax and have fun. Based in Murrells Inlet, SC, they’re blessed with a year-round fishing season, so you can join any time.
You’ll be fishing on a 27’ Sea Fox that accommodates up to 6 passengers. This brand new model was built in 2021 and features the latest navigational electronics. She’s powered by twin 150 HP Yamaha engines and reaches the maximum speed of 48 knots. This means you’ll reach your fishing spot quickly and have more time for catching fish.
Choose the trip that sounds best for you, depending on how long you want to stay on the boat and what you want to target. You can go bottom fishing for Snapper, Grouper, Cobia, Black Seabass, and other nearshore species. If you prefer trolling and offshore spots, go after Mahi Mahi, Wahoo, Amberjack, and Tuna.
You’ll easily get ready for the trip – just pack some food, sunglasses, hats, and sunscreen. Everything else will be taken care of by the crew – your fishing licenses, equipment, bottled water, and snacks. The crew will even clean and fillet your catch after the trip.

What a great day trip with the family! Jason and Ronald made the fishing trip a fun and memorable experience for everyone in our group! They were both great with the kids, helping them with bait and fishing. This allowed the adults to relax and fish! Everything was prepared and planned out fir us, making the day seemless. I HIGHLY recommend First Response to anyone one! They'll take great care of ya, no matter the age or experience level. They truly care that everyone has a wonderful, memorable experience!

High light of our spring break
10 Hour Trip – Offshore on April 3, 2023 • 2 adults • 3 children
We had lots of fun with captain Jason. The boat ride was a little ruff but nothing Jason couldn't handle. Once we got to the fishing grounds we hooked a 40 pound barracuda witch stripped every inch of line off the reel. Jason and first mate Chase was able to control the boat and we landed the monster. After a couple of hours of trolling we moved on to bottom fishing witch was a blast. Every time we hooked a fishing it was fun to guess what type of fish it would be. The day was a blast Jason had us on fish fast and when the bite slowed down we would move to find more fish. We would definitely recommend fishing with Fist Response fishing charters.

First time, but definitely not the last time!!
8 Hour Trip – on September 3, 2023
We booked this charter and it was all that we expected. After a short boat ride of the shore we were immediately catching fish. We bottom fished, drifted, and then did some trolling. We caught so many different species that everyone went home with something that they liked. What made the trip even more fun was that although we had just met the Captain that morning, it seemed like we knew him for all of our lives. He was one of the guys!!

One of the Best Christmas Gifts That I Have Ever Given

I purchased gift certificates from Captain Jason May/First Response Fishing Charters. It was such an easy purchase and the recipients were elated and excited to get their trip booked! It was one of the best Christmas gifts that I have ever given! The staff was so accommodating when warmer weather rolled around and the guys fishing crew was ready to go. Captain Jason May provided advise for the best fishing dates and even for the most "cost effective" trip. Jason was always available to answer questions promptly in order to get the charter trip planned and squared away. Our families will be repeat clients. I highly recommend First Response Fishing Charters!!!!
