Miss Nell is docked at Safe Harbor Marina in Wanchese, North Carolina. Come aboard “Miss Nell”, a sport fisher built by Sheldon Midgett, one of the innovators of the world-renowned Carolina-style boat. Our Captain and crew will show you a great time fishing the area’s inshore and nearshore waters. We will make sure you have a safe, fun, and successful trip, so pick your day and hop aboard!

“Miss Nell” is a restored 44’ Custom Carolina offshore sportfishing boat proven for fishing the waters of the Atlantic off of Oregon Inlet, NC. It features ample seating for up to 6 guests, an enclosed bathroom, an air-conditioned salon, and a safe and dependable 705 HP Caterpillar diesel engine. The boat has all the modern navigation technology, a flybridge, as well as outriggers, downriggers, a fighting chair, and two additional fishing chairs in the cockpit. A first mate will also join your trip for all the help you may need.

Inshore and nearshore, we target Spanish Mackerel, Bluefish, and various species as they pass through our inshore waters. Bottom fishing trips and sound fishing trips include species of Bass and Trout, Mackerel, Drum, Cobia, and others.

Offshore, we target Tuna, Mahi Mahi, Wahoo, Sailfish, and Marlin.

As you’re covered for all the tackle, lures, as well as fishing licenses, the only things you should bring on your trip are your food and drinks. Also, you can have your catch cleaned at the marina. Payment for the fish cleaning will require cash.  Another thing to keep in mind is that the first mate works for a customary 20% tip.
