Honolulu has a fish with your name on it, so let Ohana Deep Sea Fishing help you catch it!
Depending on the season, you might hook into Mahi Mahi, Blue Marlin, Black Marlin, Striped Marlin, Sailfish, Shortbill Spearfish, Bigeye Tuna, Skipjack Tuna, Yellowfin Tuna, Wahoo, and anything else that bites. For these species, you’re likely to troll and bottom fish using light or heavy tackle.
Ohana Deep Sea Fishing is a child-friendly charter service, so go ahead and bring the whole family along! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. Also, remember to bring snacks so that everyone stays happy and energized!
Your vessel for the day is a 48’ Viking sportfisher with room for 6 passengers. It comes with outriggers, a fighting chair, and all the essentials. There’s a toilet on board for your convenience. Your captain will provide rods and reels, along with lures.
There will be a First Mate on board to help your trip run smoothly. Mates often work for tips and it’s customary to offer them a 10–20% tip.
Some essentials to bring are sunscreen (non-spray), and sunglasses. There will be some drinks on offer, but let the captain know if you wish to bring your own. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just be sure to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

Fantastic trip

This was my second charter out of Honolulu and my first on the Reel Life. I will never use any other company on my return trips. I brought my two sons (10,14) along for the trip! the crew were top tier fisherman and instructors. They took the time to guide my sons through the process of what occurs if we hook up and explaned all of the facilities on the amazing vessel! We were lucky enough to catch two Mahi Mahi and had a chance at a marlin! Overall the only thing i would change is booking a longer trip for the whole day!

Amazing Trip!

Capt. Mike and his deckhand were amazing. They know what they are doing and were always hustling to get us fish. I would still rate them 5 stars even if we didnt catch anything. There are certainly cheaper charters on smaller boats. I chose to spend the extra money for my family because of their previous reviews and the size of the boat. It was the right decision. The seas were pretty rough. I was told that it was less rough than ususal. Regardless, it was nice to have an A/C cabin with big couches. A couple of folks on our trip got sea sick. It helped a lot that they could lay down. I could imagine what it would have been like on a 25-35’ boat. I highly recommend them and will book with them the next time I’m in town.

We had an absolute blast with Captain Mike and first mate Kahi aboard Reel Life! From the moment we stepped on the boat, they made us feel welcome and went above and beyond to make sure we had an incredible experience.
We had some thrilling action on the water—hooked a barracuda (it got away!), came close to landing two good-sized marlins and a mahi, and still got to see them up close. Even though we didn’t bring them in this time, it was all part of the excitement and adventure. As my son wisely said, “It’s called fishing, not catching.”
Captain Mike and Kahi’s knowledge, effort, and fun energy made the day one we’ll never forget. We’re already planning our return trip—this crew is the real deal. Mahalo for the memories!

The boat itself was immaculate and in top-notch condition, adding to the overall enjoyment. Highlights of the day included my husband reeling in a stunning Mahi Mahi, but the real showstopper was our 20-year-old son’s incredible catch—a 148-pound yellowfin tuna!
