Chili’s Sportfishing Isla Mujeres welcomes you for a fun-packed fishing adventure in Quintana Roo, Mexico. Captain Rogelio Magaña and his crew have got years of experience on the water and will treat you as you deserve. They will put all their passion for you to have that fish on your fishing line. Come join them in Isla Mujeres and make lovely memories fishing!
The boat you’ll use is a 33’ Blackfin offshore sport fishing boat that can fit 8 guests. Powered by two reliable 250 HP Cummins diesel marine engines, this classic model with a great fishing reputation uses Garmin GPS electronics, a fishfinder, a VHF radio, as well as all the safety equipment required by the coast guard and monitored by Spot Gen3 system. The boat is wheelchair-accessible and its facilities include a flybridge, bathroom, kitchen, and bed. You’ll have plenty of space to relax and enjoy your day on the water and you can use a refrigerator and an ice-box to store food and drinks.
As for the fishing gear, the boat uses a fighting chair, livewell, outriggers, as well as downriggers. A first mate will also join your trip.
The species you’ll target include prized White Marlin, Sailfish, Mahi Mahi, Wahoo,Tuna, Snapper, Grouper, Jack Crevalle and many more. Using light tackle, you can bottom fish, deep sea fish, troll, spin, jig, and even handline and spearfish. Kids are welcome to come aboard, you can keep your catch if you wish, and smoking isn’t allowed during the trip.
Captain Rogelio provides everything you’ll need for a great fishing experience. He covers you for all the equipment, licenses, catch cleaning, as well as lunch, snacks, and drinks.

This was an epic trip. My second great charter with Chili’s. Captain Rogelio with his crew Paco and Fernando are some real pros and they are super nice. We managed to land and release a double on sailfish on the first bite of the morning! The crew saw the fish come into the baits before the strikes and this helped us get ready for the fight. It took a lot of team work and coordination to bring in 2 fish at the same time but these guys knew how to get it done. Early afternoon we landed and released a 3rd sail. Rounded out the trip catching a bonita and a few mahi for dinner. These guys fished hard until the last few minutes of the trip. Lots of action, great tackle and plenty of fresh rigged baits. Overall a great day and we look forward to going with them again!

Great Crew and Lots of Fish

Our fishing trip was an 8 hr Big Game trip. Rogelio was very accommodating and picked us up much closer to our hotel so we didn't have to meet down at the docks. We had beautiful weather and they dropped the down riggers and out riggers quick and worked the lines to get fish on them. We started out small with a couple of mackerel and kingfish but started pulling barracuda and larger kingfish in later in the day, with a mahi for each of us right before we headed back in.
Rogelio and his crew were great, kept the lines busy, my wife, mom and I reeled in about 18 out of the water that day. The boat is a great size and comfortable. Would book again and hopefully pull in that sailfish I've been after.

Best fishing charter on earth!!!
4 Hour Trip – Offshore fishing on October 18, 2025 • 2 adults
We’re probably a bit biased, because Rogelio was our first charter fishing captain ever, 7 years ago when my wife and I both fell in love with fishing. Our first time, we were the only boat (out of & charters that were out trolling that particular day) that caught ANY fish, and we caught 19 of them: Mahi, jack, bonito, barracuda, and others. That was August 2018. Today, we did a short 4-hour trip and caught 1 barracuda and 5-6 Kingfish, two of which were exceptionally large. Captain Rogelio and his two hands worked tirelessly during every second of the charter, constantly rigging fresh ballyhoo, catching live bait, pulling grass off lines, searching for baitfish and birds, etc. They never let their guards down for one second; determined to make our trip as successful as possible, and they even kept us fishing for an extra hour at no additional charge, hoping to help us land more fish. Rogelio spoiled us on that first trip 7 years ago, and we have been on over 30 chartered fishing trips all across the globe since then, and we have yet to find another captain that hustles as hard as he does to land fish in the boat. He is the gold standard against which we measure every fishing captain, and thus far nobody can top him in terms of service, professionalism, politeness, etc. We will be coming back to Isla to fish with Rogelio again and again, and we will be bringing teenagers with us on our next adventure.

Determined to catch fish!
4 Hour Trip – Offshore fishing on November 27, 2025 • 4 adults
Took our family out for a day of offshore fishing with Rogelio and his crew were great! Unfortunately for us, it was a slow day of fishing for us (all other captains were reporting the same thing to Rogelio) but Rogelio was determined to turn our luck around and we kept on fishing. Our son ended up catching a few fish and was thrilled with catch. We took our catch to Konita's Cantina to be prepared and they did an amazing job! Definitely recommend Chili's if you are in Isla Mujeres and looking for a day of fishing.

Last fish, first Sailfish!
8 Hour Trip – Big Game Fishing on June 5, 2025 • 4 adults
Caught a good number of Dorado & Bonita throughout the day. After nearly eight hours of fishing the wife said it was time to head in, so I let the deckhand know. He started bringing in the lines. I was watching intently as he started to bring in the last line when I saw a massive shadow in the water strike at the bait! Then I saw a bill rise out of the water as the deckhand dropped the bait towards the rushing fish. I scrambled to the fighting chair and was handed the rod. The fight was on and soon I landed my first sailfish!!
We kept six of the Dorado which we took to Javi’s Cantina. Javi’s has excellent cocktails and they cooked the fish for us.
Excellent day on and off the water. I would highly recommend taking a day to fish with Chili’s sports fishing!
