Cedar key is known for being one of the best fisheries in the Big Bend area. These waters are known for producing some of the best fish with the large and healthy grass flats that are jam-packed with opportunities.

Capt. Cameron will do his best to make sure you have a fun day full of fishing. He specializes in bottom fishing, trolling, drift fishing, jigging, popping, and spinning, all to get you on that bite. This involves 4 to 8-hour trips, mainly fishing for Redfish, Snook, Tripletail, Spanish Mackerel, Sheepshead, and Speckled Trout, depending on the season and conditions on the day.

Your fishing adventure starts on a 20’ Shearwater boat that can safely take up to 4 anglers. This boat features a wireless trolling motor. The price of your trip includes all the rods, reels, and terminal tackle you’ll need for a productive day on the water. No need to worry about fishing licenses, as they will be provided and handled by the charter.

Beautiful day on the water
Half Day Trip (PM) on November 8, 20252 adults
Trips like this are a big deal for us because this is the only way we go finishing. We don't have a boat, we don't have equipment, we don't know enough about technique so going on an excursion like this means a lot to us. And Cameron did a fantastic job with us. Very patient and friendly and when we weren't hitting a good spot, he moved to a different place. And we got such a great boat tide. We even saw a bottle nose. It's a beautiful way to see the area by the water. Would love to travel with Cameron again.
Reported catch:
Redfish

---

**Reasoning:** "Redfish" refers to several species depending on the region (e.g., Red Drum in the US, or Sebastes species). In Dutch fishing contexts, "Redfish" is commonly used as-is, particularly for the Atlantic species (Sebastes mentella/marinus). There isn't a single universally accepted Dutch translation that would be recognized by all Dutch anglers across different regions. The glossary confirms "Redfish" as the term to use.

Best fishing trip ever!
Half Day Trip (AM) on November 6, 20252 adults
We couldn't have asked for a better experience . Cameron is obviously a very knowledgeable guide who not only has extensive insight of the area's best spots for different species, but also the conditions (tides, weather, and time of year) to catch fish. We caught a bunch. Even though my friend and I have fished Cedar Key for years, he was able to show us new spots that produced exactly as he predicted. We highly recommend others to choose him for their next guided trip.

Had a great time despite slow action
Half Day Trip (PM) on February 13, 20263 adults
The fish were just not biting. We hit many spots, but only caught four small ones. Still had a great time on the water and got to see bald eagles, dolphins and a ton of birds. Capt. Cameron is easy going and fun. We'll give him another go in the spring.

Best Charter Captain in Cedar key
Half Day Trip (AM) on November 7, 20252 adults
Captain Cameron was very polite and professional. He demonstrated his impeccable knowledge of the water ways. He was able to navigate like no other to all of the bountiful honey holes, showing his confidence and cohesion with his boat, getting us into places where the adverage captain would not dare to go. We definitely recommend him to anyone whos in the area and wants to fish!

Excellent fishing trip!
Half Day Trip (AM) on October 9, 20252 adults
Capt Cameron was excellent, called the evening before to gain personal info, adjusted timing for weather and any n comfort concerns. He made a point to understand fisherman objectives. The half day was perfect husband caught 4 fish before the sun fully rose! Red, drum, snook, trout, flounder and more. Took home only what we wanted to eat. Highly recommend Capt Camreron. Excellent trip
