ReelFunFishing is located in Treasure Island. Has several boarding locations and offers to show you a memorable time in these waters. Capt. Mike takes you on a kid and family-friendly fishing cruise aboard his well-equipped vessel. The captain specializes in fishing constant-action spots with a great potential of some keepers to take home and eat. No experience is necessary. Your trip can also include an island stop as well with a beach walk to look for shells or enjoy lunch you bring around Fort Desoto State Park and Shell Key Preserve.
Capt. Mahi Mike will do his best to make sure you have a fun day full of fishing. This involves 2 to 6-hour trips, mainly fishing for Snapper, Jack Crevalle, Sheepshead, trout, sea bass, key west grunt, with the occasional redfish trout and Flounder, depending on the season and conditions on the day. On these trips, you can expect to use techniques such as light tackle.
Your fishing adventure starts on a 23’ Pontoon boat that can safely take up to 6 anglers. This boat comes with an ice box.
All rods, reels, and terminal tackle are included in the price so you can focus on what really matters, fishing. Your trip will include all the necessary fishing licenses for the day. The crew will clean and fillet your catch for you to take home at the end of the trip. Bring your own drinks and snacks and the cooler will be provided.

I’ve been on many fishing trips, and this one was 10000% the best! We caught about 30-40 fish, kept 9 and the whole 4 hours was action packed. I think we caught 15 different species of fish and the captain was knowledgeable and kept bringing us to different spots if the bites were not good enough. What I really appreciated over all, he was humane to the fish and didn’t let them flop around in a dry cooler to die. That always stressed my trip so to know this was an option is going to make me request it from now on. I would highly recommend him to anyone fishing in the waterways around Tampa.

Absolutely love and appreciate the kind words you wrote in this review. You both were great company and even better anglers . There wasn't 5 min of time that we didn't land a fish and reflecting back on the days conditions with wind and hearing how not many local guides were able to send it we certainly made some dang good lemonade with the lemons we were dealt. My husband and I booked a 5 hour fishing trip with Captain Mike for our 10-year anniversary. This was our first time salt water fishing. Mike is incredibly patient, knowledgeable, and super likeable! There's no way you could go on a trip with this guy and not enjoy yourself. The only problem is that I'm used to someone baiting my hook now 😂 We caught quite a few different species and had an incredible experience with some dolphins. I would absolutely book another trip with Captain Mike the next time we're in the area. If you're shopping around for fishing charters, just stop now - you've already found the perfect one. You won't regret it! Thanks for the great experience, Captain Mike!
