I had an absolutely amazing time on this fishing trip! The captain was not only highly experienced and professional but also incredibly friendly and welcoming. He knew exactly where to go for the best catches and made sure everyone on board was comfortable and involved. The crew was just as fantastic — helpful, attentive, and full of good energy. Everything was well-organized, from the equipment to the refreshments, making it a smooth and enjoyable outing. Whether you’re an experienced angler or a first-timer, this trip is a must-do with Socrates! Highly recommended!

Pickup was right on tine, the captain and mate were great, the boat clean, refreshments provided. No tuna or big game fish this time, but that was to be expected, you have to be really lucky for something like that on the first trip out. Once the tuna run finished we were taken to various spots for puffer and mouse fish and there was a lot of activity, perfect for children to enjoy fishing and especially so if they’re old enough to fish on their own. Recommended and i will go again next time in Cyprus.

From start to finish a very well organised morning fishing trip with brilliant communications. First time sea fishing for my 9yr old son and myself and we loved it. The morning was much cooler and also got to watch the sunrise. The captain was extremely welcoming, knowledgable and super friendly. We caught plenty of puffer fish, red mullet, sea perch and then the more rare pig fish and a lion fish! Good value for money, great experience and fantastic memories made. Thanks Socrates⭐️

Socrates fishing charters was absolutely brilliant. The Captain Neofytou and his skipper knew exactly where to go and make you feel welcome aboard his boat. My son (17) and myself went along, along with some others (10 in total) and we all managed to catch some great fish. If we was here longer we would have definitely gone out again with them. Hopefully next time. Thanks again for such a great fishing trip…….we could of stopped out there all day 👍🏼

Booked the 6am start to watch the sun rise and not to impact the whole day, which was awesome ! Boat and crew were also awesome, captain was very friendly and the boat is immaculate! Unfortunately as it turns out, August is NOT the time for fish . Captain did send a message saying only small fish at this time of year which was a very disappointing message to get 10 days before our trip but there’s small fish and then there’s tiny ones . Paid €500 for a private trip hoping the fisherman’s ’Small’ fish weren’t as small as mine but as it turns out they were very much smaller . We supposedly tried trawling on lures for some bigger fish for an hour with no joy so we went back to what I can only describe as some sort of nursery where we dropped pea sized bate on kids rods and caught fish the size you might keep in a goldfish tank one after another as soon as the bate hit the bottom . Definitely not fishing . Bitterly disappointed for my 2 kids as I paid a lot of money for a very boring morning on what was supposed to be the highlight of our weeks trip to Cyprus 😔. I don’t blame the captain as such he did warn me of small fish before we even left the uk but happily took the whole €500 even though I called it a wash out 45mins before our 4hrs was up as we’d gone back to trawling for nothing again ,the kids were bored and I was loosing the will to live ! A small gesture of maybe €50 off the full price would of softened the blow and might of stopped me writing a poor review but tbh I don’t want another family to spend what I did thinking they’d get good fishing in August so that’s why I write this review. Considering the pea sized bate was being cut up as we set off tells me the captain knew exactly what we’d be fishing for . Such a shame 😔
