Took a 4 hour trip with a friend of mine on Luis' charter, four fish total, 2 king mackerel, a barracuda, and a big sailfish. Luis knows the area well, and adjusted the plan when the bite got slow, putting us right on top of a sailfish that was taken before the first line was fully set. plus, he's a sick dude, good to talk to and clearly cares about his work. couldn't recommend Luis more, I'll be sure to stop by for another charter next time im in town.

Kind of a slow day fishing, but Luis worked his but off switching up gear, trying different spots, breaking it up by playing around catching some bait fish, chasing down leads for hotspots from other captains, going after any and everything biting. We caught a small shark early in the day, had a long drought, and finished the day hooking my daughter up on a barracuda. Easy going, laid back attitude, very knowledgeable, and personable. My wife’s not big on fishing and she said she could’ve stayed out longer. Most important, we all got off his boat with a smile on our faces. Would definitely use again if we’re fishing this area.

He was personable, upbeat, and had a great sense of humor that kept the atmosphere light and enjoyable. He shared insights about the area, the fish, and the process in a way that was engaging and never boring. It felt less like a transaction and more like spending the day fishing with a knowledgeable friend who just happens to be exceptional at what he does. The boat was well-maintained, organized, and comfortable, which only added to the overall experience. Everything felt safe, smooth, and thoughtfully run. You could tell a lot of care goes into this operation, from the gear to the guidance to the way guests are treated. He filleted the fish when we got back to the dock and let us know how to get it home as well as giving us recommendations on where we could have it prepared fresh if we wanted! My dad and I had an incredible day on the water with Luis aboard the Wicked Cuda. Communication with the captain was seamless, and Luis provided everything we needed for a successful fishing trip. He’s not only a great guy but also extremely knowledgeable—he put us right on the fish. I had a blast catching my first sailfish, and we brought home some kingfish for lunch. I can’t recommend Luis and the Wicked Cuda enough, it was a fantastic experience from start to finish!

This was a dream come true! We caught 4 sailfish and 2 king mackerels! Captain Luis was incredibly knowledgeable and constantly on the phone with other captains on the water, adjusting tactics and trying different approaches. We even did kite fishing — he worked his butt off for 6 hours to get us on fish. It was a 10/10 experience. The captain was also super fun and we enjoyed every moment with him. Conditions were perfect - sunny with just a little breeze.
