If you’re here to make the most of off-shore fishing in Port Canaveral, look no further than Flight Risk Fishing Charters. Having logged many hours on these tides, Captain Michael Adkins is prepared to put you on fish.
Amberjack, Tuna, Bonito, Mahi Mahi, Goliath Grouper, Jack Crevalle, Kingfish, Blacktip Shark, Red Snapper, Sailfish, Tarpon, Wahoo, and more can be found in these waters, depending on the season. You can expect to do some light tackle fishing, trolling, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area. Any fish within the legal limit is yours to keep. Plus, you can have your catch cleaned. Now that’s dinner!
Your boat for the day is a 29’ Center console with room for 4 passengers. It comes with outriggers, downriggers, and all the essentials. Capt. Mike will supply rods and reels for you, along with lures. Live bait is on offer, but you should ask the captain whether you’ll be catching it yourself. The charter boat covers your fishing license, so all you have to do is look forward to your trip!
Young ones are welcome, so go ahead and bring the whole family along! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available. You can’t go wrong when you bring snacks, drinks, sunglasses, and sunscreen (non-spray). Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but avoid hard liquor and glass bottles. Some fish have special regulations, including when you can keep them. Your captain will help you follow regulations while you fish.

5 Hour Off-Shore fishing trip on July 1, 2025 • 2 adults • 1 child
Awesome day on the water. Captain Mike was great helping coordinate everything up front, he was very responsive and helpful. Something last minute came up and Captain Mike had to hand me and my boys over to Captain Jake but these guys had everything worked out. Captain Jake was absolutely great. He got us on fish right away and was super patient with my 8 and 14 year old. We had a great day catching Kings, sharks, and an incredible sailfish. After we returned to the marina Captain Mike stopped to check in on us and make sure everything was good.
These guys were great start to finish.

Weather tried to stop us--Captain KC was awesome!!

Our dream trip was to do some off-shore, deep sea however, the weather/conditions were stacked up against us--Captain Michael Adkins and Captain KC were totally transparent and honest. Weighing our options, we decided to do the 4-hr shark trip. We had instant action, 30 seconds into the trip. We were "hooked," literally, the shark fishing was amazing--action, thrill, adrenaline, pure adventure! We fish the Great Lakes and have some experience with Lake Trout and Salmon--this trip was absolutely out of our minds. Flight risk will take care of you and treat you right!! Highly recommend them for a great experience!

Tough day for fishing but sharks were awesome!
4 Hour Trip – Shark/Nearshore on June 23, 2025 • 3 adults
Capt Michael was great. Very talkative and informative about the trip and all stages of our journey. Although we booked an inshore trip, we ended up going about 17 miles out to where there was a better chance of catching fish. Sea was pretty choppy and my wife and son both got sick. Captain did the best he could to get us to calmer water but it was too late at that point. After trolling for about 30 or 45 mins, we went for some sharks. Only took about 30 seconds and we were hooked up. My son caught one raymora while trolling and a good 6 ot 7 foot sandbar shark while drifting. I caught a good sized shark that took about 20 or 30mins to real in, but never got a good look at the length. I know it was big and the fight wore me out pretty good.
I recommend a trip with Flight Risk and Captain Michael.

Great Shark Fishing Trip

We went out with Jake for a 4 hour shark trip. Within 30 minutes Jake put us in the middle of a school of Spinner Sharks! They were jumping out of the water feeding all around us. We were catching them as fast as we could! We caught so many sharks that we went back in 30 minutes early from arms being so sore! We had a great time with Jake and Flight Risk Fishing! I highly recommend using Flight Risk Fishing!

Capt Kacey put in the extra effort

Capt Kacey was great with my kids and tried every trick in the book to get us our fish. Conditions were less than ideal but he did manage to get everyone on board a couple fish and we caught one of our target species. We heard over the radio that many of the other boats didn't get anything on this day so we greatly appreciated the extra effort.
We will be back.
