Panama GEM Charters takes you fishing around the iconic waterways aboard their speedy and reliable 27’ Proline.
Whether it’s Pearl Islands Archipelago, 20 Fathom Trench, or Taboga Island, you can sample some of the finest game species here, including Mahi and Wahoo, and much more. And, no matter how skilled you are, the crew will gladly accommodate you and help turn your fishing day into a lasting memory.
When you come onboard, you will find a selection of fishing gear, soft drinks, water, and beer. The crew will supply all the safety gear, tackle, lures, and bait. The boat can take up to 8 people who will have enough space to fish but also enjoy the view and the ride. The boat is equipped with twin 150 HP Yamaha engines, GPS, a fishfinder, as well as a toilet, an ice box, and a multimedia system.
Anglers onboard can try trolling or bottom fishing and the crew will make sure you have a productive day. Just one look at the photos of the catch and you’ll see how big these Mahi can get. There are also big Tunas, tasty Snapper, and massive Amberjacks. The captain will advise what works best according to the weather and what you want to catch.
Pack sunscreen, sunglasses, a hat, as well as a camera. You may want to bring some extra layers of clothing just in case. Book your spot, invite your friends, and come for a blast!

Extended Full Day Trip – Big Game
Extended full day trip big game
Crew and boat were great I enjoyed them and they made up a lot for the fishing being pretty dull (maybe was just a slow day?). I was a bit disapointed to pay 2200CND to catch only 3 small to medium size spanish mackerale as was advertised as a big game experience (and we never even had a bite from anything sizeable). I will admit we lost 1.5ish hours due to the wife need a break for being sea sick and our taxi driver going to 4 gas stations to buy 7$ worth of gas on the way to the dock so that defintely didnt help us in terms of fishing. Overall was a decent experience but not worth the cost compared to other outings i have been on.

Fishing with this crew was great. My grandson wanted to fish and he had a blast…didn’t catch anything huge but brought in 6 fish that put up a fight and a seventh fish that took two and a half minutes to bring in before the line broke! We got glimpse of the fighter before he took off. Great day!!!

Great Fishing Trip
This trip was so much better than our last fishing experience in Panama. The crew was professional, the boat was clean, had a great audio system, and fast. The launch point was at the marina on the coast, where as our last trip's was inside the canal where we wasted 30 minutes of our time getting to the ocean. We are definitely doing this again and will likely upgrade to a bigger boat with this charter company. Definitely a safe bet

went with a friend who had never been offshore fishing before, later that day he told me he had way more fun than he expected. we caught fish and the crew was top notch! as charters go is was a success, will go again when in panama next time. miguel & moses were awesome!!

Great day at the Pearl Islands
We had a wonderful experience fishing, snorkeling and visiting the Pearl Islands. It was an amazing trip. Captain Miguel and Pedro made sure we had fun fishing and provided plenty of time for snorkeling and relaxing at a private beach. They were tremendous. Everything was perfect, including the ceviche they prepared for lunch with the fresh fish caught in the morning. We highly recommend this experience.
