Island Catch Charters is located on Jekyll Island and wants to show you an unforgettable fishing day you’ll want to share with family and friends!
Capt. Chris is highly experienced and aims to provide an excellent excursion, one your group will remember for years to come. He specializes in bottom fishing, trolling, drift fishing, jigging, and spinning. This involves 3 to 8-hour trips, mainly fishing for Redfish, Whiting, Spanish Mackerel, Spotted Seatrout, Sheepshead, and Cobia, depending on the season and conditions on the day.
Your fishing adventure starts on a 26’ Carolina Skiff boat that can safely take up to 6 anglers. This boat features an ice box and a wireless trolling motor. Aboard the vessel, you’ll enjoy the breathtaking views, relax and connect with nature.
All rods, reels, terminal tackle and bait are included in the price so you can focus on fishing. Your trip will also have all the necessary fishing licenses for the day. You can keep anything you catch as long as it’s legal to do so. Children are welcome aboard, so bring the whole family and get the young ones started with fishing. Kids never forget the wonderful feeling of reeling in their first catch.

A very memorable morning!

We wanted to take our grand-kids out fishing for the pleasure and experience. They all just wanted to catch something. And we did. Riley, 7, wanted to catch a shark, which she did. Liam, 10, wanted to catch something cool, and he caught a stingray. Gavin, 14, was just happy to catch something he could brag about. Captain Chris made sure we all had a wonderful time and made our morning very enjoyable. He was very kind to the kids who didn't have any experience. The way we know they had a good time is they all want to do it again.

Excellent Birthday Experience

I booked Captain Chris as a special excursion for my wife’s birthday. I was hopeful to get her hooked into some big fish, and Chris delivered.
Within 5 minutes of jigging our first line I hooked into a nice black drum that fed us for lunch! Within 10 minutes my wife was also reeling in another black durm bigger than mine! She had the biggest of the day.
She was super excited and enjoyed the struggle to get it in the boat.
Captain Christ coached us through the technique and baited our line each time. It was a flawless process.
We saw some dolphins while coming back through the marsh.
To top it off he filleted the fish for us and we had a huge lunch at catch 228.
Overall excellent experience. Will book again.

Captain called us the night before and wanted to make us aware of how windy it was going to be. He expressed his concern for our eight year old grandson and wanted to make sure he would be comfortable being on the boat in the weather that was expected. They had a good time and said they would go again. Thank you to the captain for being courteous, professional in keeping them safe out on the water!

When I arrived at our hotel the night before our charter and told a local we were fishing in the morning with Captain Chris they called him a “living legend on Jekyl”. He didn’t disappoint! Very knowledgeable, a great teacher with us adults and the kids. We had a great time catching drumfish, whitings and a few sharks. He made it fun! Finally he filet all the fish and we took it to St Simon and had it cooked for us at a local restaurant. We will be back next year!!!

Great Family Fun!

Capt Chris was great handling 5 children aged 8-13 - showing us his expertise (and patience for young first-timers) in fishing and interesting facts about the area! We had so much fun exploring the beautiful area, fishing, and being in nature. We caught tons of fish including a huge red fish (one of the young first timers landed it with the captains help!), whiting, stingrays, and toad fish! We plan to book with Capt Chris again next time we are in Jekyll!
