Deze wateren staan bekend om Redfish, Rode Snapper, Vermillion Snapper, Gevlekte Koningsmakreel, Amerikaanse Bot, Schaapskopbrasem, Gevlekte Ombervis en meer – met een beetje geluk laten ze je molen gillen.
Op de dag van je trip ga je waarschijnlijk bodemvissen met licht materiaal.
Denk je eraan om de hele familie mee te nemen? Kinderen zijn van harte welkom! Vraag zeker of er zwemvesten op kindermaat beschikbaar zijn, anders moet je je eigen zwemvesten meenemen. Snacks zijn ook een goed idee zodat niemand chagrijnig wordt met een lege maag!
Schipper Mike verwelkomt je aan boord van een 24' center console met een capaciteit voor 4 passagiers.
Je schipper zorgt voor hengels en molens, evenals kunstaas. Levend aas is inbegrepen, maar je moet de schipper vragen of je het zelf gaat vangen.
Je hoeft geen visvergunning te kopen, dus je hoeft alleen maar uit te kijken naar je trip! Houd er rekening mee dat sommige soorten speciale regels of beperkte seizoenen kunnen hebben. Je schipper helpt je de regelgeving te volgen tijdens het vissen.
Enkele essentiële zaken om mee te nemen zijn een zonnebril, een hoed, zonnebrandcrème (geen spray) en flessenwater. Als je andere drankjes wilt meenemen, vraag het gerust. Alcohol is toegestaan in matige hoeveelheden, maar je moet sterke drank en glazen flessen vermijden.

Half day day trip with Captain Mike
4 Hour Inshore 7:30am op July 28, 2023 • 1 volwassene • 2 kinderen
Captain Mike has a great charter service. He did a wonderful job with my 12 year old son and his cousin. We moved around to a number of fishing locations in the gulf searching for fish. This kept the boys entertained with not only fishing, but with riding in the boat and looking at the oil rigs. When the fishing slowed down and the temperature went up, the boys wanted to take a dip in the gulf. Captain Mike even joined in the fun by jumping in the water.

You can't always predict the weather. Coming out of the bay the West wind made the water choppy. The hope was that the waves would not pick up and we could snag some Spanish Mackerel. The weather did not cooperate and once we got to the rig and tied off the waves grew faster and bigger. With the weather like it was the trip back was much longer and cut into our fishing time. Captain Mike and his crew tried their best but sometimes mother nature has other plans. When I come back to Fort Morgan, I will defiantly give Captain Mike another chance, but I will also know to watch the weather and communicate with Mike a little better before setting off.

Mike did a great job putting us on the fish. Very knowledgeable on fishing techniques for the area. Also had some good historical knowledge of the Fort Morgan/Mobile Bay Area. Great time with my 10 year old son. We definitely will be back. Thanks Mike!
