Grote Geelstaart, Amerikaanse Bot, Batjauwvis, Grote Barracuda, Goudmakreel, Paardmakreel, Koningsmakreel, Redfish, Vermillion Snapper, Rode Snapper, Grijze Zeebaars, Zwartvintonijn en meer staan op het programma, afhankelijk van het seizoen. Je kunt verwachten te vissen met licht materiaal, trollen, driftvissen, jiggen, of misschien iets meer gespecialiseerds in dit gebied. Alle vis binnen de wettelijke limieten mag je houden. Bovendien kun je je vangst laten schoonmaken. Dat wordt smullen!
Je bent welkom aan boord van een 33' Center console met ruimte voor 6 passagiers. Het heeft outriggers en alles wat je nodig hebt voor een productieve dag op het water. De boot is in januari 2025 opnieuw gemotoriseerd met nieuwe Suzuki 300 buitenboordmotoren. Er is een toilet aan boord voor je gemak. Je schipper zorgt voor hengels en molens, evenals kunstaas. Levend aas is beschikbaar, maar je moet de schipper vragen of je het zelf gaat vangen.
Een eerste maat zal aanwezig zijn om ervoor te zorgen dat alles soepel verloopt. Maats werken vaak voor fooien, en het is gebruikelijk om hen een fooi van 10-20% te geven. Mogelijk moet je voor de trip een lokale visvergunning kopen. Deze informatie is meestal online beschikbaar, of je kunt het de schipper vragen.
Je kunt niets fout doen als je snacks, drankjes, zonnebrandcrème (niet-spray) en een zonnebril meeneemt. Alcohol is in matige hoeveelheden toegestaan, maar je moet sterke drank en glazen flessen vermijden. Sommige soorten kunnen verboden zijn of een speciale vergunning vereisen, dus zorg ervoor dat je weet wat je kunt verwachten.

My son decided he wanted a fishing trip for his birthday so we booked with Smoke N Reels. It was, I believe, the best choice we could have made. From the beginning there was great communication about the trip, who was coming, and what we would be targeting on our trip. Lanette took care of all of the paperwork and any questions we had.
This wasn't our first fishing trip but about our 6th. So we've seen a few captains and their operations. Capt Chris and Deckhand Jayden are absolutely top notch. I had 5 teenagers with me and they treated them like family. Anything and everything they needed or asked for was taken care of. Chris and Jayden engaged with everyone answering questions or just bs'ing. There was never a dull moment. And that's they are the best.
We stayed on fish and if it got slow, off to the next place. We caught a few species, including trout, drum, and even got to land a shark and fought one that straightened out hook. Both Chris and Jayden made sure the boys always had a fishing pole and bait. The most involved Captain and Deckhand ive ever ran across.
All in all absolutely the best way to spend a day on the water. Can't wait to book again.

Captain Chris set us up with GREAT 10 hour Offshore Attack trip. We started at a couple of oil rigs where we pulled a 45 lb Amber Jack. This was my first experience with this fish and what a fight! After a shark took our last bait fish (almost landed him….next time) we transitioned to some bottom fishing. We pulled some Red Snapper, Kingfish, and a random Amber Jack that was too small to keep. Captain Chris was able to park us on top of a school of Mahi Mahi which were absolutely amazing to fish. Captain Chris was having as much fun as we were as he caught a flying fish. This was an amazing trip! Big thanks to Lynette as well for calling the night before to make sure we were properly prepared for the trip. Exited to book again in the future.
