Vanuit Sooke, BC bent u binnen enkele minuten gepositioneerd bij enorme zalm en heilbot, klaar om gevangen te worden.
U kunt een gastvrije omgeving verwachten, vol positiviteit en aanmoediging. Schippers Wayne en Chris zijn zeer toegankelijk en u zult zeker genieten van het vissen met hen!
Tijdens deze trips wordt er vaak getrolld op zalm, of gejiggd op bodemvis zoals heilbot. Vis die tijdens de trip wordt gevangen mag u mee naar huis nemen, zolang deze binnen de wettelijke limieten valt. Wayne en Chris bieden aan om uw vangst voor u schoon te maken, of om deze naar een verwerker te laten brengen voor verzending binnen Canada. Dat is pas een diner!
Trips met Full Melt Charters staan open voor het hele gezin en kinderen van alle leeftijden, dus haal ze offline en breng ze op het water! Schippers Wayne en Chris hebben een lange geschiedenis in outdoor-begeleiding met kinderen en zullen altijd een ondersteunende, enthousiaste en bemoedigende houding hebben tegenover uw kinderen.
U werpt uw lijnen uit vanaf een 23 voet Grady-White vissersboot met ruimte voor 5 passagiers. Gloednieuwe motoren! De boot heeft elektrische downriggers en alle benodigdheden. U kunt altijd een schone boot verwachten, uitgerust met topkwaliteit visuitrusting en navigatieapparatuur. Er is een toilet aan boord voor uw gemak. Uw schipper zal alle hulp en uitrusting bieden die u nodig heeft om vis te vangen, en u zult zijn verlangen en bereidheid om zijn kennis te delen opmerken.
De schippers bieden instructie en aanwijzingen over hoe u de vis moet binnenhalen, maar de hengel blijft in uw handen!
U moet vóór de trip een lokale visvergunning kopen. Deze informatie is online beschikbaar, of u kunt het aan de schipper vragen.
Het is altijd verstandig om extra lagen kleding, zonnebrandcrème, een hoed, flessenwater en een zonnebril mee te nemen. Alcohol is toegestaan in matige hoeveelheden.

Best Day Out - Planning Next Year Already
Afternoon Half Day- Halibut Jigging op September 13, 2025 • 2 volwassenen
While we fish at home often we were looking to fish for halibut for the first time. From the first booking and communication right to the end of the trip we had no issues and felt very prepared. We et at the Crab Shack and met captain Wayne and Chris. We were heading out with Chris who prepared us, got a feel for our comfort level and answered all of our questions as we traveled out for the day. We started off hitting Dogfish (which was still a bit fun) and quickly got to Sable-fish, Cod and then the mighty Halibut. We had so much fun and enjoyed the day so much. We can't wait to go again. Thank you Wayne and Chris for a GREAT experience!

From start to finish, our trip with Captain Wayne at Full Melt Charters was excellent. He knew exactly how to get us on fish, and it wasn’t long before we were hooked up and hauling in salmon. His knowledge of the water, tides, and gear gave us confidence and made the day both productive and fun.
The boat was well set up, clean, and clearly designed for serious fishing. We appreciated the extra touches—help with technique, stories from the water, and a relaxed atmosphere that made us feel at home right away.
Christi and I had a fantastic time. We caught beautiful fish, enjoyed stunning views, and came away with memories that will last. If you’re looking for a charter in Sooke that delivers both results and a great experience, I highly recommend Full Melt Charters.
We would book again without hesitation.

Spectacular fishing experience
Evening Trip - Salmon Trolling op August 14, 2025 • 3 volwassenen
Captain Wayne was fantastic!! He was communicative beforehand, punctual, and very knowledgeable! He really worked hard, monitoring the lines & making sure there wasn’t any seaweed or shakers occupying the hooks. We had a LOT of action. We hooked Chinook, Coho & pink salmon. We got our max catch for Chinook, a lot of pinks too. There were a lot of fish released . . . We took the sunset charter. The weather was gross, so we didn’t catch the sunset, but we caught lots of fish, and had a great time!!
We HIGHLY recommend Full Melt!!

We had such a great time on our fishing trip!!! Captain Chris was a great gide and very knowledgeable, we learned a lot from him. We landed 3 Different types of salmon. Coho,Chinook,Pink. Captain Chris was very patient with us 4. He did everything like bait the lines for the fishing poles and took the fish off the hook for us. He showed is what fish we could keep and which to let go so we could keep within the Canadian 🇨🇦 rules for sustainability. We would highly recommend chartering with Full Melt charters. Full Day Trip – Halibut Jigging op July 25, 2025 • 3 volwassenen
We went out salmon fishing mid July, two adults (mom & dad) and one teenager (daughter). Our captain contacted us the day prior to fishing and asked if we could come earlier in the morning due to inclement conditions. We set out fishing 5:15am, dropped two crab pots then headed out for salmon. As expected the water was rough due to wind but our captain did a superb job keeping us in calmer waters and we hit on so many fish. We were out 8 hours and hardly noticed because we were having so much fun. We came back with our full quota of 12 fish but probably let twice that many go (willingly and unwillingly). Our captain filleted all our fish and cleaned our crab. We would 100% recommend Captain Chris any day.
