Hoop je wat vis te vangen op de Kenai River? Dan heeft Nate Sims Fishing een trip met jouw naam erop! Met schipper Nathaniel aan het roer profiteer je van jarenlange kennis en ervaring.
Deze wateren staan bekend om Regenboogforel (Steelhead), Dolly Varden, Chinook Zalm, Coho Zalm, Rode Zalm, Vlagzalm, Bultrug Zalm, en meer – met een beetje geluk duurt het niet lang voordat je er een aan de haak slaat. Afhankelijk van de soort waar je op vist, kun je jezelf spinvissen, trollen, driftvissen, jiggen, of misschien iets meer gespecialiseerds in dit gebied vinden. Schipper Nathaniel biedt ook vliegvissen aan.
Schipper Nathaniel verwelkomt vissers van alle leeftijden, inclusief kinderen, dus neem gerust het hele gezin mee! Kinderen moeten zwemvesten dragen, dus vraag na of de juiste maat aan boord beschikbaar is. Vergeet ook niet om snacks mee te nemen zodat niemand chagrijnig wordt met een lege maag!
Je gooit je lijnen uit vanaf een 21' Willie Predator River sled die plaats biedt aan maximaal 5 passagiers. Het heeft alle benodigdheden waar geen vismachine zonder kan. Hengels, molens en materiaal worden verstrekt, samen met kunstaas.
Je moet voor de trip een lokale visvergunning kopen. Deze informatie is meestal online beschikbaar, of je kunt het aan de schipper vragen. Sommige soorten kunnen beschermd zijn of een tag vereisen om ze te mogen houden, dus zorg ervoor dat je weet wat je kunt verwachten.
Een paar items om mee te nemen zijn flessenwater, zonnebril en zonnebrandcrème (niet-spray). Als je andere drankjes wilt meenemen, vraag het gerust. Alcohol is in matige hoeveelheden toegestaan, maar probeer sterke drank en glazen flessen te vermijden.

Full Day Trip op June 11, 2023
Nate was absolutely fabulous! We started out fishing for sockeye salmon and Nate was so patient teaching us what do do. We started hooking fish right away and Nate’s enthusiasm matched ours. We hooked lots of fish and Nate was so good at netting them. He was always so excited for us each time we got one. After catching our limit of sockeye he took us out trout fishing and I caught the biggest rainbow of my life on a fly rod! I have been on many guided trips but I have never had a better experience than our day fishing with Nate.

Fun, Limits, and Extra Mile!
Full Day Trip op July 10, 2023
We had a blast with Nate. He's really patient, knowledgeable, and fun to be around. The boat and equipment was solid. We caught our limit during a very slow part of the run and then he went the extra mile to get me on a trout! Communication with Nate and Bry was smooth and effortless. If you're looking for a guide who knows their stuff AND is fun to spend an entire day with, this is your guy!

River fishing trip with Nate Sims
Half Day Trip op June 13, 2022
Nate is an expert on the river. All you have to do is show up and catch fish. Nate knows where to go and what they are biting on. He provided everything for a great fishing trip. He had the whole party on Salmon in great time. Along with Salmon we caught Dolly Varden and trout.Experience is a once in a lifetime trip that can be done every year. I would highly recommend this captain. All fishing supplies and and great attitude and smile make this captain and boat a great experience! Thanks for the great trip on the water!

Half Day trip with Nate Sims

We hired Nate Sims for a Half Day trip for Kings and another one of his guides the next day for a half day trip for sockeye. King fishing has been tough and Nate delivered. He knows the Kenai better than anyone and can get on fish if there are there. He runs a professional business, having great gear and was well prepared. He shows up on time and gets you in the water immediately. He is great with conversation and is a true professional. The next morning we fished for sockeye on the Kasiloff and limited out. It was an awesome experience. Nate has us use a different guide for the Kasiloff as he primarily guides the Kenai and we were quite satisfied with the day and Nate's business operation. Save your time, don't book with anyone else but Nate Sims. You won't regret it.

If you want a great fishing trip, book with Nate! His knowledge of the river and knowledge of fishing in general is second to none. Nate has tons of personality and made the trip exceptionally great. One of the best experiences I’ve had in Alaska without a doubt!
