Wat te verwachten
Dit is een charter in eigendom van en uitgevoerd door de schipper, gericht op het bieden van een unieke viservaring. Schipper Matt begeleidt elke trip persoonlijk en zet zich in om u op vis te zetten, terwijl de ervaring veilig, plezierig en gedenkwaardig blijft voor iedereen.

- Hands-on viservaring voor alle niveaus
Trip-opties:
2 uur (kort & schilderachtig), 4–5 uur (het beste voor pelagische vis), bodemvissen (rifsoorten), en zonsondergangstours (prachtige uitzichten, lichter vissen). Langere trips = grotere kans op grotere vis.
Vangstbeleid (Lees dit zorgvuldig)
Hawaii Whale Tale Tours opereert zowel als charter en als werkend vissersvaartuig.
De vangst wordt voornamelijk behouden door de schipper. Als u vis mee naar huis wilt nemen, kunt u uw vangst kopen tegen marktprijs. Het schoonmaken van vis is tijdrovend en alleen beschikbaar als vooraf afgesproken en als de tijd het toelaat. Bepaalde vangsten kunnen naar goeddunken van de schipper worden gedeeld.
Richtlijnen voor gasten om een veilige en plezierige trip voor iedereen te garanderen:
Geen glazen containers of bananen aan boord. Neem zonbescherming, snacks en drankjes mee.
Respectvol gedrag wordt te allen tijde verwacht.
Fooi is gebruikelijk en wordt gewaardeerd voor geweldige service
Leeftijden: 7+ voor 5-uurs trips; 5+ voor kortere trips (neem contact op met de schipper).
Schipper Matt begeleidt elke trip—komt vroeg aan, blijft laat, en werkt hard om u op vis te zetten.
Terugkerende gasten kunnen een korting ontvangen.

we arrived a few days after the historic rains that turned the ocean into a chocolate soup. inspite of it, we went iut and were able to see a whale breaching many times. Matt was very knowledgeable about whales and this was a main reasons my daughters wanted to go on the boat. missiona accomplished for them. We had a ten foot shark come next to our boat as well. The weather seemed to worsen while out and as a result, we chose to come in a little early. We will definitely use Matt when we come back and will refer him to our friends. Thank you!

Unforgettable Day with Captain Matt — Whales and a Keeper Uku
Kids trip- for the little guys. op March 8, 2026 • 4 volwassenen • 2 kinderen
Captain Matt delivered a fantastic day on the water. We were lucky enough to watch whales breaching right off the boat, which alone would have made the trip memorable. On top of that, he put us right on the fish and that is saying nothing of the gorgeous scenery. We caught several and landed one big keeper uku that ended up making some incredible tacos later that night.
Matt clearly knows these waters and works hard to get you on fish, but he also keeps the whole experience relaxed and fun. Great captain, great local knowledge, and a memorable day for our family. Highly recommend booking with him if you want the full Hawaii fishing experience. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Captain Matt is an amazing captain, he definitely knows what he is doing. He is full of knowledge and doesnt mind sharing. We were a party of four(two adults and two kids). We knew it’s fishing and not catching, not a guarantee that we will catch fish.
He did not waste time to get us on the fish. He was very thoughtful/mindful of our 11yo and 9yo. Both of our kids were abled to reel in a mahi mahi each. We saw some dolphins, lots of flying fish and some sharks feeding. We had hooked up with something big, but it got away. At the end of our trip he cleaned and filet our fish, we’re having fish tacos tonight.
Now we have stories to share with friends and family thanks to Captain Matt. This is by far the best fishing charter we’ve been on so far on the islands. We will book him again the next time we return. Thank you so much!

Captain Matt and his first mate were absolutely fantastic. They tailored the tour perfectly to our schedule and made the whole experience seamless. We caught plenty of fish but chose to keep only two. Since the action was nonstop, Captain Mike even extended the trip a bit longer so we could keep enjoying ourselves. The outing was short and sweet. He also cleaned and filleted the fish for us, which was a great touch. I’d give them a solid 10/10—highly recommended! You won’t be disappointed with their service.

Great Time, but Don't Schedule Anything After

Fishing was slow due to off-season and dirty storms the past 3 days. Once we got out to the blue water, it was great. We saw a seal, dolphins, whales, fish jumping in the water. and we caught and released an approximately 200 pound Marlin. It took a while to reel it in and we got back to the dock a little later than planned. Take that into account when planning activities afterward. We had a great time. Mahalo Captain Matt!
