Bij Pacific Kayak Fishing bieden wij halve dagtrips aan voor kajakvissen. Alle kajaks zijn uitgerust met pedaalaandrijving. Dit zorgt voor een ontspannen manier om van het water te genieten en is minder zwaar dan traditioneel kajakken. Bovendien heb je je handen vrij om te vissen. Ervaring met kajakken en/of vissen is niet vereist. Onze kajaks zijn uiterst stabiel en veiligheid is onze hoogste prioriteit. We zullen vissen met licht materiaal, spinmolens en levend aas. We gaan op Roostervis, snapper, tandbaars, zeebaars, makreel en vele andere soorten vissen. Vis van een aanzienlijke omvang en geschikte soorten mogen door de gasten mee naar huis genomen worden om op te eten. Alle vis wordt door de gids schoongemaakt en verwerkt. De beslissing of een vis behouden wordt of niet, ligt bij de gids.

Half Day 2 Person Trip op November 21, 2025 • 2 volwassenen
Ryan provided us with a very enjoyable morning of kayak fishing, with a combination of trolling live bait, casting hard baits and deep jigging. The Hobie kayaks were very stable and well maintained. Ryan was very enthusiastic and gave lots of instruction on techniques to use. He even took videos when we were bringing fish in. I was happy that each kayak was equipped with a sonar - so that each of us could monitor depth, navigate to waypoints and mark fish.

Kayaking with Ryan is a great experience and a must do on the. fishing bucket list. He did a great job instructing and guiding and is a very helpful cool guy. Totally recommend him and this trip.
However something to be aware of that I wish I had know beforehand: fishing Booker says this is in Heredura and Meetup for it's it a beach around 25-40 minutes north off it so it was around 45 minutes to an hour from Jaco...
It is a few miles on dirt road not very accessible after the main road.... great beach BUT Ubers and Taxis don't want to go there .... and you will not find transport at 5am to there in CR..... and so if you don't have your own car I highly recommend pre arranging private transportation both To and From this beach or else you will get struck.

Thanks for your review. Our trips take place in Herradua or Playa Mantas depending on oceanic conditions. This is clearly stated in the trip details. Playa Herradura is 15 minuted from Jaco and Playa Mantas is 30-35 minutes away. Uber is readily available to both locations. If you decide to take an Uber to the location but do not have cell service upon leaving one of the parking lot attendents will be happy to call you a cab.
You’re son Sam also caught a nice mackerel which we were happy to clean and filet for you. He said it was his personal best.
Its unfortunate that you could not join us as originally planned, letting me know one hour before the tour that you were not coming.

First time for me on a kayak for fishing. Also the first time for me to fish in salt water. It was really fun, the captain was very supportive, the equipment worked nicely and I could get in to it really quick. Cought a nice rooster fish.

Absolutely incredible trip. Ryan put me on the fish and left it up to me to bring home the dinner. It was incredible to actually handle the rod the whole time, unlike deep see fishing were you just get to reel in the fish. I got to do it all. Two remarkable fish in the first hour. Will be back for sure. That was truly fantastic!! PURA VIDA!!

This was a great day!
It's not every day you get to be guided by a member of the US national kayak fishing team who is a true expert at his craft. Ryan knows what he is doing and he is a good teacher. We caught a bunch of large Jacks and an eel. Need to come back for a rooster thought :)
