At pacific Kayak fishing we offer half day kayak fishing charters. All of our kayaks feature pedal drives. This allows for a stress free way to enjoy the water which is less strenuous then traditional kayaking. It also leaves your hands free to fish. Kayaking and or fishing experience are not required. Our kayaks are extremely stable and safety is our top priority. We will be fishing using light tackle, spinning reels and live bait. We will be targeting, rooster fish, snapper, grouper, sea bass, mackerel and many other species. Fish that are of a respectable size and species may be taken home to eat by the guests. All fish will be cleaned and processed by the guide. The decision if a fish will be kept or not is at the discretion of the guide.

Half Day 2 Person Trip
Excellent experience
Ryan provided us with a very enjoyable morning of kayak fishing, with a combination of trolling live bait, casting hard baits and deep jigging. The Hobie kayaks were very stable and well maintained. Ryan was very enthusiastic and gave lots of instruction on techniques to use. He even took videos when we were bringing fish in. I was happy that each kayak was equipped with a sonar - so that each of us could monitor depth, navigate to waypoints and mark fish.

Absolutely incredible trip. Ryan put me on the fish and left it up to me to bring home the dinner. It was incredible to actually handle the rod the whole time, unlike deep see fishing were you just get to reel in the fish. I got to do it all. Two remarkable fish in the first hour. Will be back for sure. That was truly fantastic!! PURA VIDA!!

This was a great day! It's not every day you get to be guided by a member of the US national kayak fishing team who is a true expert at his craft. Ryan knows what he is doing and he is a good teacher. We caught a bunch of large Jacks and an eel. Need to come back for a rooster thought :)

Ryan’s experience pays off, landed a 10 lb Rooster before 6:30am. Hooked up to several big fish including a 18 lb Jack Crevalle, unbelievable fight in the kayak! 10 out of 10 experience, you’re fishing immediately, no long waits/rides and you are as close to the fish as you can get outside of spear fishing.

Trying to find a flyfishing trip on the central coast of Costa Rica proved a difficult challenge. Despite having no experience guiding for flyfishing, Captain Ryan agreed to give it a go.
