Hoping to catch some fish in Honolulu? That’s what No Whiners Sportfishing is here for! We have been fishing these waters for 30+ years, even though we lost everything to the fires. Our captain is eager to show you everything we know about these waters and the fish that inhabit them.

Species like Mahi Mahi, Striped Marlin, Blue Marlin, Yellowfin Tuna, Skipjack Tuna, Bigeye Tuna, Albacore Tuna, Shortbill Spearfish, Rainbow Runner, Wahoo, and more inhabit these waters, depending on when you go. For these species, you’re likely to troll using light tackle.

Trips with No Whiners Sportfishing are open to the whole family, so go ahead and bring the whole family along! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own. Snacks are also a good idea so that nobody gets cranky on an empty stomach!

You’ll step aboard the Sea Verse III, a 42’ Pacifica sportfishing vessel with room for 6 passengers. It has outriggers, a fighting chair, and all the essentials. There’s a toilet on board for your convenience. We also supply rods and reels for you, along with lures. Live bait is on offer, but you should ask the captain whether you’ll be catching it yourself.

There will be a First Mate on board to help your trip run smoothly. A 10–20% tip is customary to show your appreciation for their hard work.

Your fishing license for the day is covered by the charter boat, just show up ready for a good time! Some fish have special regulations, including when you can keep them. Simply ask and your captain can tell you more. A few items to bring include a hat, sunglasses, bottled water, and sunblock (non-spray). Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just be sure to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

Monster Mahi

10 Hour Trip on January 11, 2026 • 2 adults

Did the 10 hr trip and caught 5 fish including an absolute Donkey of a Mahi. Saw quite a few other fish playing in the spread that wouldn't bite solid. We had Zach, Kaito, and Isiah for a crew and they were awesome. Always busy minding the spread, changing lures/baits and making sure we hooked up the bites. They were great about answering questions and helping us any way they could. Book with these guys, you won't be disappointed.

Amazing Day

10 Hour Trip on July 28, 2025 • 2 adults

My son and I had a trip of a lifetime on our 10-hour fishing trip with Captain Fuzzy and Deckhand Jerry. The Captain and Crew were awesome to spend time with on the water, and it was a spectacular day on the Ocean off the coast of Oahu. We are avid anglers from Alaska, and have caught big salmon and halibut. Fighting and catching TWO Blue Marlin was phenomenal and an experience like none other. Not all days on the water are blessed with the production we had, but if you are a true angler, the hunt for the trophies is well worth the trip. Memories of a lifetime were made, and any day on the boat is a great day!

Fantastic Easter Weekend fishing trip!

We had such a great time with Captain Fuzzy and Andie! They were professional, relaxed, and were active in getting us on some fish. We caught tuna and a beautiful Marlin! The boat was clean and easy to maneuver around with the 6 of us. It was truly just a beautiful day on the water and though a few of us got a bit seasick we still had a great time. Andie was really great about explaining the “why” behind things and was overall very knowledgeable. When we go fishing again , we will certainly be going with this crew!

I was able to book a private 4 hour charter. Water conditions were rough and very windy this morning. I’m sure if I’d had booked another 2 hours I would have caught one. They have great equipment and the boat is great. Fuzzy and Bobby were very kind to me and were lots of fun. We were set up for success, but Mother Nature does what it wants.
