Species like Black Seabass, Gray Triggerfish, Vermilion Snapper, Sheepshead, Cobia, Grunt, King Mackerel (Kingfish), Spanish Mackerel, Amberjack, Gag Grouper, Black Drum, and more could be biting if you cast your line at the right time of year. On these trips, you can expect to troll and bottom fish using heavy tackle.
Planning a family adventure? Kids are absolutely welcome! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. Snacks are never a bad idea so that nobody gets cranky on an empty belly!
You’ll step aboard a 31’ Delta Sportfisher with space for 6 passengers. There’s a toilet on board for your convenience. Your captain will provide rods and reels. Live bait is included (seasonally), but be sure to ask about it so you know if you’ll be catching it yourself.
A First Mate will be there to make sure everything is running smoothly. Mates often work for tips and it’s customary to offer them a 10–20% tip.
The charter boat covers your fishing license, just show up ready for some fishing! Keep in mind that you may release some fish due to regulations. If you don’t know what to expect, ask the captain. Don’t leave home without sunglasses, sunblock (non-spray), and a hat. There will be some drinks on offer, but let the captain know if you wish to bring your own. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, so long as you avoid glass bottles.

We loved our day with Georgia Coast Charters
8 Hour Trip – Offshore Fishing on October 19, 2025 • 6 adults
We went on the 8 Hour Deep Sea Fishing Charter - Captain Kyle and First Mate Jackson were amazing. when we got to the fiahing site the wind picked up and Kyle had to work really hard to keep us over the fish - he did a great job and we got our quota of Vermillion Snapper (25 as there were 5 of us) plus Trigger Fish and Amberjack. Jackson worked so hard making sure our fish was off the hooks, measured, and rebaited so we could keep fishing. whe we got back to the dock, Kyle arranged for our fish to be filleted, and then he took it to Bubba Gambos and talked to the chef to cook it up for us for a small cover charge which included 2 sides - we had our fish blackened, fried and grilled - delicious - and an above and beyond service - in addition we have 8 pounds of filleted fresh fish on ice to take home. I highly recommend Georgia Coast Charters to anyone looking for great fishing with a wonderful, knowledgeable captain and crew. We will be back.

Great fishing trip!
8 Hour Trip – Offshore Fishing on March 15, 2025 • 4 adults
Our family had a great time fishing with Georgia Coast Charters! We did an 8 hour offshore trip. We saw dolphins and sea turtles on the way out to the spot. Once we got there, the sonar wasn't working, but Captain Kyle still got us on fish! We caught a lot of Black Sea Bass, some Trigger fish, Vermillion, and of course the fighting Red Snappers that we had to throw back, but man, what a time getting them on board! First mate Joe was extremely attentive and helpful. We lost some rigs to sharks but were baited back up and running within minutes. Overall a great time. Would definitely book with them again!

Captain Bennett what a captain! First mate Colt amazing time!!!! We had an amazing trip over the top hospitality made my family feel like we had known them forever! Captain so knowledgeable about Tybee will definitely be booking again for next trip soon

Took my family out on a 10 hr trip. Had good weather. Everyone had a great time. Really enjoyed the captain's knowledge of the fishery as well as local history. He put us on fish all day long. Definitely plan to go again. Great for family or guys looking to catch fish. Doi not pass up the opportunity.

Great Day on the Water!

Kyle and crew were very easy to work with, knowledgeable and friendly.
Most of our party had never been offshore fishing, and it couldn't have gone better.
Kyle and Aiden were patient, attentive and always making sure we had what we needed.
