If you’re in the market for a day to remember, look no further than El Pato Lucas Super Panga and The Machine Sportfishing Team. Your guide for the day is Captain Martin "The Machine" Garcia, who means you’ll tap into years of professional experience.
Whether you are a beginner or an experienced fisher, we can accommodate all of your fishing needs.
Around here, it’s common to catch Dorado, Black Marlin, Blue Marlin, Striped Marlin, Bonita, Roosterfish, Sailfish, Sierra Mackerel, Snapper, and more, depending on the season. For these species, you’re likely to troll, go jigging, shore fishing, bottom fishing, casting, using light or heavy tackle.
Your adventure begins aboard a 23’ Panga that holds up to 3 passengers. It has outriggers, new GPS and Fish Finder, Tuna Tubes & live bait tank, nice sound system with Bluetooth & FM capability, and all of the essentials no fishing machine can run without. There’s a toilet on board for your convenience.
Rods and reels are supplied for you - nice equipment! Before coming aboard, it is necessary to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group @ $20 US each and live bait is purchased from the boat as we leave the harbor $30 US.
We will greet you at the start of your trip to discuss your trip, explain catch options, and introduce you to the Captain & boat. We will greet you upon your return to review your trip and your catch!
It’s never a bad idea to dress in layers, bring sunglasses, sunblock (non-spray), and a hat. We supply water with every trip and can also add on food and beverages upon request.

Fishing with Kevin

My wife and I fish but usually inshore when together because she is uncomfortable in the ocean if the conditions arent ideal so I was concerned but chose El Pato Lucas mostly based on other great reviews. We have done other fishing charters on vacation but this was by far the best. Kevin and “the machine” were friendly, knowledgeable, and I believe they were most concerned with us enjoying the experience. They asked us what we wanted to do so we decided to troll with lures and bait and then did some fishing with live bait close to shore They put us on the fish. Shortly after leaving the dock, I was surprised that we had 5 lines in the water and it didn’t take long to get some hits.
We were offered to fish for marlin (crazy number of boats fishing for them) but chose not to. We caught a number of fish, had bonus sighting of whales, and it was absolutely beautiful being on the water in Cabo.
Within 30 minutes of docking, we were eating fresh Mahi Mahi at a restaurant that Kevin recommended.
We already talked about a repeat trip next December.

Fun day with the kids

I had a great time fishing with my two kiddos. The weather wasn't super great due to hurricane Priscilla stirring things up. We did catch a few fish including 2 skipjacks, 1 bonito, and 1 mackerel. The radio was pretty quiet all morning so the other boats weren't catching much either. The thing that sets this fishing trip above all the other ones I've taken in Cabo was the crew. Kevin, Machine, and Nemo did a great job. When the bait and/or lures weren't working they would reel them in and try different colors. Finally a downrigger was applied and we were able to catch what I noted above. That's a sign of a good crew. I will also note that the Panga that I had originally reserved had to get worked on the day prior and wasn't able to be used for my trip. Instead we were upgraded to a 28ft boat free of charge. Again, excellent customer service. Going forward I will exclusively use this operation for future fishing trips.

Kevin and Machine went above and beyond to make our first fishing trip in Cabo the absolute best they could. We didn’t have the best conditions due to wind and high waves, but both guys worked to find the fish from start to finish. Being that both guys were utterly disappointed when our day was over, because we were not coming in with trophies or a boat full of fish, showed us they truly cared and they are in this business for the right reasons. I can’t thank you two enough. You gave us so many things…..We were given a history lesson and tour of the area,,,,We caught our first cobias and pompanos….We hooked up with roosters, but being we are inexperienced, we lost them (still exciting)….We almost caught and eagle…We saw rays jumping out of the water…..We saw a shark….We fed a sea lion. I could go on an on….We watched both Kevin and Martin the Machine work tirelessly the entire trip and all the way back to the marina trying to get us a fish….What I am saying is, I will book exclusively with The Machine Sportfishing for the rest of my life, and I believe my son will as well. Great job guys!!! And, thank you!!!

Amazing Full Day with Machine and Kevin

Booked a full day trip with Machine and Kevin and it was an excellent choice. Both Machine and Kevin are super nice guys and really go out of their way to put you on fish. We caught dorado, rooster fish, and hooked uo with a big striper marlin that we fought for quite awhile but it ended up breaking the line. I will definitely book another trip with these guys next time I come. Thank you, Tim and Terry

Great day on the water catching fish

Kevin and the Machine were awesome and very accommodating. My son and I arrived a day earlier than the reservation. They stopped what they were doing and made sure we got out that morning....just way above and beyond. Their approach made us feel like one of the crew; not just some tourists. We got some nice Dorado and Tuna. They even helped us with advice on where to go on the marina to have it filleted and cooked up. I could not have been happier with our experience. I highly recommend them!
