Er zwemt een vis met jouw naam erop in Herradura en R Sport Fishing helpt je hem te vangen! Met vele uren ervaring op deze getijden staat kapitein Rocha klaar om je op vis te zetten.
Deze wateren staan bekend om Blauwe Marlijn, Witte Marlijn, Goudmakreel, Gestreepte Marlijn, Cubera Snapper, Zeilvis, Rode Snapper, Binnensnoek, Geelvintonijn, Wahoo, Roostervis, Snowy Tandbaars en meer – met een beetje geluk duurt het niet lang voordat er "beet" is!
Tijdens deze trips is trollen gebruikelijk.
Je bevindt je aan boord van een 28' center console met ruimte voor 5 passagiers. Het heeft outriggers en alles wat je nodig hebt voor een productieve dag op het water.
Hengels, molens en materiaal zijn inbegrepen bij de charter, evenals kunstaas. Levend aas is beschikbaar, maar vraag er zeker naar zodat je weet of je het zelf moet vangen.
De charterboot regelt je visvergunning, dus je hoeft alleen maar klaar te zijn voor een goede tijd! Houd er rekening mee dat sommige soorten speciale regels of beperkte seizoenen kunnen hebben. Vraag het gerust en je schipper kan je meer vertellen.
Een paar dingen om mee te nemen zijn een hoed, zonnebril, flessenwater en zonnebrandcrème (geen spray). Er zijn wat drankjes beschikbaar, maar laat de schipper weten of je je eigen drankjes wilt meenemen. Alcohol is toegestaan in mate, maar vermijd sterke drank en glazen flessen. Er wordt eten en wat lichte snacks aan boord verstrekt.

Wonderful day of fishing!
Half day after noon op March 19, 2026 • 3 volwassenen
Rocha picked us up right at the beach behind the Los Suenos Marriott. Hopped right on the boat. He had ice, drinks and chips for us. Started out fishing for sailfish, it was an afternoon excursion so we knew it was not likely. We then headed out 10 more miles and saw the largest school of dolphins ever! A true sign that tuna was there. We got our rods ready and immediately hooked a tuna. It was exciting for sure! We brought in a 60 pound tuna in minutes! What a fun day. We will definitely use Rocha again and we HIGHLY RECOMMEND fishing with him!

Best Fishing Expericence Hands Down!!
5 Hour Trip – Half Day (AM) op February 9, 2026 • 2 volwassenen
We went out with Captain Rocha and caught rooster fish, spanish mackerel, rainbow runners and needle fish. The captain was very responsive and helpful. He even helped me decide which gear to bring to surf fish on my own during my trip and also offered us a ride if we needed one. We made a plan on what we wanted to target before the trip whcih was amazing!! If you want a true Costa Rican Pura Vida experience and knock fish off your bucket list dont hesitate to book R sport fishing. I will definitely be reffering anyone and coming back myself in the future. Thank you for the experience of a life time!!

Entire trip was tip top. We had a first timer with us, She caught, we all caught. Yellow fin were biting, landed 6. We really appreciated all that the crew did. They busted their tails to get us on fish, spent more time than they needed to and made this a very productive and enjoyable experience. They had some snacks, but not a lot. Sodas and water, some local beer, not enough for a party but good enough. There is storage so bring more beer and sandwiches if you think you will need them. I f you want, grab a lunch bag or three to hand out to the crew. If I ever roll back into Jaco, I will definitely get ahold of these cats again!!

The captain and mates were super friendly. We went on an all day trip. They worked the entire time to help us catch something. It was a slow day at sea with all the boats out there catching nothing. The water was super clear and flat so I assume the tuna were easily spooked. The crew never gave up though. They took us bottom fishing in 400 foot water and we landed a couple of Groupers. We were very happy with the effort and the experience they provided. They were a local captain and mates. The captain suggested a place to cook our catch. It was called The Hook Up. Wow ! We had them cook the grouper in blackened bites with a mango salsa. Delish!!!! It was a perfect end to a great day. Thank you all!

Son really wanted to catch a sail fish. Started out the morning catching mahi. Guys jumped 4 sail fish for us, but we couldn't stay hooked up. Was an awesome experience and the guys did there best to give us what we came for, but that's why they call it fishing. Awesome Trip overall. Great value for fishing Costa Rica.
