The captain and mates were super friendly. We went on an all day trip. They worked the entire time to help us catch something. It was a slow day at sea with all the boats out there catching nothing. The water was super clear and flat so I assume the tuna were easily spooked. The crew never gave up though. They took us bottom fishing in 400 foot water and we landed a couple of Groupers. We were very happy with the effort and the experience they provided. They were a local captain and mates. The captain suggested a place to cook our catch. It was called The Hook Up. Wow ! We had them cook the grouper in blackened bites with a mango salsa. Delish!!!! It was a perfect end to a great day. Thank you all!

We had a great trip with R Sport Fishing! We we conveniently booked through the app and were picked up on the beach in front of our hotel. The captain and first mate weee kind, personable and did everything to make us comfortable. The boat was clean, provided shelter from the sun and came stocked with drinks. Once we hit our first fishing spot, we caught a small mahi. Sadly that’s where our luck ended, but the crew was relentless in their hunt and we eventually caught some small bottom feeding fish. They did all they could to help us catch something big but it just wasn’t in the cards for the day. Maybe because we brought a banana on board?! Overall we were pleased with price, accommodations and crew-would def book again!

We had an outstanding afternoon with RSport Fishing. We met up with Captain Rocha and his mate a little early, and we were ready to head out in no time. Captain Rocha gave us a few options for the day, and we decided to go offshore in hopes of landing some bigger fish. This was our first time fishing like this, and Captain Rocha was excellent at explaining the setup, answering all our questions. We were fortunate enough to catch a mahi mahi, and the crew even filleted it for us to take back to our condo. We cooked it up, and it was absolutely delicious! We also hooked up on a couple of sailfish, which was an added bonus to an already incredible day on the water. I highly recommend RSport Fishing—it’s an experience you won’t want to miss!

My father and I booked a charter with R Sport fishing a few weeks prior to coming to Costa Rica. We were lucky to book an all day charter with Captain Isai and his first mate. The boat was clean and well stocked with food and beverages as well as tons of rods lures and bait. Captain Isai communicated well prior to the trip confirming details and the day of was easy to contact once we reached the meet up point. Upon getting on the boat he confirmed what we wanted to fish for and then we were off. We tried to get some Mahi Mahi and did have a few bites, but the fish were not too turned on so he took us to another spot to troll. After a bit the other spot showed little action so he took us to a reef where we started to catch fish. He brought tons of bait and got some fish to use as bait while out there. We fished the reefs for a bit by jigging and then went to a spot that his friends on the radio said would have more fish. Upon arriving we were instantly slamming yellowfin, bonito, and albacore. It was exciting to hear fish just minutes after throwing one in the live well. Altogether we caught 30+ fish and kept 20. It was one of our most memorable days on the water. The captain communicated well, had a calm demeanour, and was willing to let us try what we wanted. The boat ride was great as well. We saw humpback whales, dolphins, and tons of jumping Tuna. For the cost you pay and the quality you get the experience is a steal. Thanks for the great time guys!
