If you’re ready to get hooked on fishing at Lake Tawakoni, look no further than Chums On The Water.
Depending on conditions, you might hook into Hybrid Striped Bass, White Bass, Catfish, and plenty more. On these trips, it’s common to troll and bottom fish using light or heavy tackle.
Planning a family adventure? Kids are absolutely welcome! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. Snacks are permitted onboard — bring your favorites for a boost of energy when needed!
Your day begins aboard a 24’ Blazer Bay center console that can carry up to 4 passengers. It has all the essentials. Your captain will provide rods and reels, along with lures. Live bait may be used as well at certain times of the year.
You will need to get a local fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species may be off-limits or require a special tag, so make sure you know what to expect.
It’s always wise to bring sunscreen (non-spray), sunglasses, and bottled water. If you’d like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, so long as you avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

Brett with Chums on the Water is an excellent guide. Not only did i catch my new PB blue cat, I learned a lot from him as he was willing to share his vast knowledge of everything from different set-ups to answering all the questions I had about the boat electronics and everything in between. It was as much a learning experience as it was a fishing trip and he did not disappoint on either front.

Bret with Chums in the Water was excellent at communicating and giving needed information for meeting place and what to expect. He was good with my three grandsons and put us on fish until the kids were tired of catching fish! They have good equipment and are very knowledgeable. We all had a great time!
