We met Captain Tom at the pier and got right to it. fishing was slow, but we knew conditions (time of year, weather, etc) were far from ideal. Even with a slow start, Captain Tom worked tirelessly to try and get us in the fish. Service was excellent as he had plenty of gear setup for us to use. He made suggestions on lures/methods, and showed us nimerous hot spots on the lake. We did finish strong with some nice action to end the day. Honestly - that was just a nice bonus. We had already decided that we would be reaching out to him for future outings. Great guy, great experience!

Captain Tom with REEL Patriot Service is the real deal. My dad and I booked an early morning trip with him, and from the moment we arrived, he was ready to roll—boat in the water at 6 a.m. sharp, fully prepped with drop shots for bass and fresh nightcrawlers. What stood out most was how seamlessly he balanced preparation and coaching. He didn’t just hand us rods; he explained the logic behind the setup and coached us through the mechanics. Any time I lost a worm or came up empty, he had another rod pre-rigged and ready. There was never a moment I sat without a live bait in the water. Conditions that morning were tough, but Tom still helped us bring in a variety of fish—walleye, rock bass, largemouth, and some monster panfish. More than that, he kept the energy high with great conversation. His knowledge of conservation, his passion for the sport, and his stories from programs like “Take a Vet Fishing” made the whole outing engaging and meaningful. Even on a challenging bite, Tom created a trip worth remembering. I’ll definitely be booking again—this time for a muskie trip, his specialty. Captain Tom was very friendly and accommodating! He had a lot of equipment ready to go and took us to various spots of the lake with no issue. He helped my dad, who hadn’t fished for 30+ years, go from beginner to casting like a pro. He was able to offer various types of rods with different reels to meet our needs. We did experience some reel issues like bird nesting one badly, and accidentally ripping an entire line off of a reel. He was very nice about it, told us not to fret about it and handed us new setups. I strongly recommend his services, and look forward to going on another trip with Captain Tom when I can.

Captain Tom was very accommodating to myself and husband in trying for us to catch some big fish. The fish just was not having it! We only caught small perch and bluegills. But that even became difficult to catch. We know that is how it goes when fishing. Captain Tom friendly and took us to several spots on Lake Geneva. He also gave us some education on the lake. We went 430p-830p.

One of our CPAs and his wife traded spreadsheets for spinnerbaits during our partner retreat and had a reel good time! We booked with Tom and had Anthony as a guide. They report having an awesome time and catching multiple types of fish. They said they would 10/10 come back for another voyage!
