Salted Hook Fishing Charters is all about fishing the stunning waters of Lake Lanier
With Captain Nick at the helm, you’ll benefit from years of knowledge and experience.
These waters are known for Striped Bass, Spotted Bass, Largemouth Bass, Catfish, Alligator Gar, and more – with any luck, you’ll hook into a few! Depending on the species you’re after, you may find yourself light tackle fishing, trolling, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
Capt. Nick will bring you aboard a 24’ Carolina Skiff that can carry up to 6 passengers. It has all the essentials. Your captain will provide rods and reels. Live bait is available, but be sure to ask about it so you know if you’ll be catching it yourself.
Before coming aboard, you’ll need to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species may be off limits or require a special tag, so make sure you know what to expect.
Some essentials to bring are sunscreen, a hat, and sunglasses. Drinks are included, free of charge. Alcohol is allowed to, so long as you avoid glass bottles. There will be some light snacks provided on board.

‼️10/10‼️ i highly recommend going out on a trip with captain nick! he and his team were super knowledgeable and friendly, sharing stories that will make you laugh. we spend the day catching white bass, largemouth bass, and striper! these will forever be some of my favorite memories and i will definitely be booking again to make more!!

One of the best striped bass experience out in Lake Lanier for the first time being on boat! Can tell the old man was one of the best fisherman out there and he was very knowledgeable, knew what he was talking about. Boat was really clean, comfortable and provided the best bait to catch these hogs. Will definitely recommend anyone going out to the Lake and trying to catch big ones. Nick is friendly and wants to give you the best experience out there, can recommend him to help you catch anything.

Captain Nick and Trey were so fun and all around excellent!! They were communicative throughout the entire process and very professional. We had so much fun and had fish on our lines in the first 5 mins, and all 5 of us caught fish!
They gave a comprehensive overview of the boat, the lake, all the gear, and helped us feel comfortable the entire time.
Thank you Nick and Trey for giving us a great memory and day out on the water! We are going to book again for later in Fall.

I wasn’t even planning to go striper fishing that morning—I was just casting off the dock when one of the guides from this father-and-son charter walked up and changed my whole day.
Turns out, a client didn’t show up, and they invited me to join their trip. Within five minutes of getting on the water, I had my personal best striper in the boat.
These guys don’t just fish Lake Lanier—they know it like the back of their hand. With over 20 years of experience, their understanding of striper behavior, bait patterns, and how water temps affect fish movement is next level. You can tell immediately they’ve put in the time and truly love what they do.

First time striper

I have wanted to try striper fishing for awhile. I finally did it. I talked to Nick we set up a time and place to meet. He told me he had snacks and drinks on board. I let him know I’m on a strict diet due to having medical issues. Well not only did he meet at the exact place and time he went out of his way to have fresh fruits on board as a snack for me. His dad is super cool and both are very knowledgeable. My buddy Mike and I happened to loose a couple lures. This most would get upset they were cool and understanding we are rookies lol. It was an absolutely beautiful day to be on the water. These guys were GREAT!! I will definitely be booking again soon.
