Had an incredible day on Lake Okeechobee with Captain Charlie! Super knowledgeable, professional, and we caught some great fish. Can’t wait to go back

He took my 13 year son and I out fishing and treated us like family. To say we had fun would be an understatement. We caught 113 Bass in less than 6 hours (that’s not a type-o) , and these were fresh fish with no previous hook marks. I would say 20 or so were 3lbs+ and the others were still quality fish I’d be happy to catch any day. We caught another 30-40 fish or other species, Gar, cichlids, tilapia, and a Peacock bass. We used artificial bait or various types, plastics, crank baits, jerk baits, spinners, and some live bait. He shared techniques and knowledge with us all day that will make us better fisherman for sure. We are already looking forward to planning another trip with Charlie in the future. Captain Charlie is an experienced competition tournament bass fisherman. This was a first time experience for father and son on Lake Okeechobee. We weren’t sure how things were going to go with the recent cold front that we’d seen. The captain had called the night before to recommend that we try a different part of the lake a little bit further north than our original booking at Clewiston and so we did. We asked Charlie to pick up some shiners so we could try that as we had heard. They can really catch the big ones being the natural bait. We also used some artificials. We started out with a boat ride about 10 miles flying along through the shallows and grass flats. Once we got to our first location, put some bobbers with shiners out there and just anticipating the action which eventually came and we had a couple of good ones that turned out to be catfish. And then the first bass hit. We were both happy to catch fish I think it was six catfish and 5 bass and snagged a tilapia as we tried a few other locations. And then towards the end of the day, got my monster record bass just under 5 pounds a beautiful fat Sally. This was after the Youngin had already caught three bass for the day with his biggest a good two or three pounder.

Captain Charlie Weyer was the best!! Had everything ready and put me on a lot of great spots. Caught a couple of dozen large mouth. If you can book a trip and ask for Charlie you will not be disappointed

Charlie Weyer, went above and beyond all day today!! Showed a couple of 13 years old a great day on the water, "catching" fish. Ended up with 28 total, and couple PB's today with the largest being 5lb 10oz. He put us on fish and provided somen young men with memories that will last a life time. Strongly recommend Charlie to anyone.
