These waters are known for Flounder, Speckled Trout, Whiting, Sheepshead, Redfish, Spanish Mackerel, and more – with any luck, you'll find out for yourself! On the day of your trip you're likely to spin or even cast a popping cork using light tackle.
Thinking of bringing the whole family? Kids are absolutely welcome! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. You're welcome to bring snacks to stay fueled throughout your trip!
Capt. Daniel welcomes you aboard a 22' Key Largo bay boat with room for 3 passengers. It comes with all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. Rods, reels, and tackle are included, along with lures. Live bait is on offer, but you should ask the captain whether you'll be catching it yourself.
The charter boat covers your fishing license, just show up ready for a good time! Be mindful that some species may have special rules or limited seasons. Simply ask and your captain can tell you more.
Don't forget to bring sunglasses, sunscreen (non-spray), and bottled water. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

Afternoon Trip
The Best Day Ever
Captain Dan took us out on a fishing charter a few weeks ago during our vacation at Tybee Island and it was the highlight of our trip, hands down. He is an expert in all aspects - the morning of, he contacted us to tell us rain was coming in and graciously moved our trip an hour up to get the best fishing weather. When we got out to the estuary, he explained how the weather could be to our advantage and where we would anchor because of that. We didn’t get any initial bites so He moved us literally a few inches, and that’s when we started catching them one after the other! My boyfriend had fished before but I had never done this, and Captain Dan was patient, knowledgeable, and so excited for me when I cast, reeled and caught my own!! We needed up catching a whopping 25 or so Red Drums. Although this was obviously thrilling, what made the trip so wonderful was the company. He is a terrific fishing instructor and person. We cannot thank you enough for the wonderful incredible day spent on Tybee waters. Back at the dock, he also processed the fish and sent us home with ice and cooking advice. If you’re wondering if you should book with Dan - DO IT! You’ll have the best day ever.

3 hr Kids trip
Book this trip you won’t regret it!!
We booked the 3 hour kids trip for my niece who is turning 15. She wanted to catch a shark and Capt Dan did not disappoint! She ended up catching THREE sharks, a massive stingray and a nice size gator trout! He filleted the trout which we brought home! We also got to see a school of dolphins on the way back in, it was the perfect trip! Capt Dan was very friendly, knowledgeable and patient while teaching Aisleigh how to cast and reel. We will definitely book again!

Afternoon Trip
Weather was bad/tide was bad, Captain Daniel salvaged the day!
It was a super windy day for us. Tide was heading the wrong way for our afternoon time (can't change the sun and the moon). Captain Daniel tried everything he could to get us something on the hook. We moved to several locations, tried different baits and finally got a couple bites. My son was able to real one in (the whole point of fishing). It is a pretty small boat, perfect for father & son trips. Captain daniel will take care of everything, from baiting the hooks, cleaning and bagging the fish, and giving you excellent cooking tips to enjoy your fresh catches. His music soundtrack was great - classic rock with some Petty, Led Zep, etc. Anyway, great time despite poor weather and tide conditions!!!

Captain Daniel
We had a great time with Captain Daniel. We caught a little of everything and took some home for dinner. He was patient, friendly and took us out of the way when he saw a pod of dolphins. He taught us different styles of in-shore fishing and made sure we avoided choppy water so that my sister didn’t get seasick.

Half Day Trip (AM)
Fun and relaxing
Captain Daniel was very knowledgeable and a all around great guide. Helped with fishing techniques not used back home in Indiana. Very personable experience. We missed our original date due to weather and he immediately rescheduled us for the next day. Didn't disappoint. Next time we are thru we will definitely look him up again!
