If you're in the market for a day to remember, look no further than Striper Slayers. With Captain Fred at the helm, you'll have a knowledgeable and experienced guide.
Depending on the time of year, you might hook into Striped Bass, Hybrid Striped Bass, Walleye, and who knows what else!On the day of your trip you're likely to troll using light tackle.
Thinking of bringing the whole family? Kids are absolutely welcome! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. Snacks are permitted onboard — bring your favorites so that everyone stays happy and energized!
Your trip begins aboard a 24' Glasstream center console with space for 6 passengers. It comes with all the essentials. Capt. Fred has rods and reels for you, along with lures. Live bait is on offer, but be sure to ask about it so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.
Before coming aboard, it will be required to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species might be protected or require a tag to keep them, so make sure you know what to expect.
It's never a bad idea to bring sunglasses, sunblock (non-spray), bottled water, and a hat. Alcohol is not allowed.

Awesome Morning on the Lake with Fred

Fantastic morning. Fred was commutative and helpful in finding the location and arranging the meet.
We had a beautiful still lake and it is a beautiful lake. I would have been happy with the boat ride alone on such a gorgeous day.
But this is not just a boat ride and our super friendly captain took us to some great fishing spots to find some sizable Bass.
We quickly filled the keeping quota with some beautiful Bass and spent the later morning seeing if we could find anything bigger around the lake.
My some age 12 was with me and he caught more fish than me and loved it. He was reading the monitors and finding fish and dropping them right into the mix and pulling out some beauties.
I’m not an experienced fisherman and I enjoyed the day and caught some great fish.
We came back and cleaned the fish and fed some turtles and went back to the cabin to grill. Tasted great.
Perfect morning fishing made totally relaxed and fun with a great relaxed and knowledgeable captain enjoying his morning too.
Recommend 100%.

Captain Fred was responsive to communication from the beginning. He was on time and ready to go when we showed up. He put us on fish all day, and when we started putting them in the boat, he was just as excited for us as we were. The boat was clean too. He filleted all our fish on site and
took care to make sure they were clean before bagging. We had teenagers with us today too! They had a great time, hard to make that happen with teenagers. Absolutely recommend having Captain Fred guide your next fishing trip.

What a great way to spend my brother's 75th birthday! Captain Fred Hoskins was outstanding! He taught me a bunch about fishing (total novice here, and i caught 4 hybrids), and also helped my bro catch 2 large stripers. My brother has dementia, but Fred was really good at making him feel at ease. I was happy to make a new memory with my bro. Family is everything ❤️!
