Soorten zoals Grote Geelstaart, Grote Barracuda, Batjauwvis, Koningsmakreel, Lane Snapper, Grijze Zeebaars (Grijze Snapper), Rode Snapper, Vermillion Snapper, Schaapskopbrasem, Redfish, Trommelvis, Spaanse Makreel en meer zijn mogelijk als je op het juiste moment van het jaar komt. Tijdens deze trips is het gebruikelijk om te trollen, te vissen bij olieplatforms, wrakken en riffen met bodemvissen met licht of zwaar materiaal.
Schipper Chris verwelkomt graag kinderen aan boord, dus maak er gerust een familiedag van! Kinderen moeten zwemvesten dragen, dus vraag of de juiste maat aan boord beschikbaar is. Snacks zijn nooit een slecht idee – gelukkig zijn er al wat aan boord!
Schipper Chris neemt je mee aan boord van een 29' Sea Fox center console met ruimte voor 6 passagiers. Alle essentiële zaken waar geen vismachine zonder kan.
Je vindt hengels, molens en materiaal klaarliggen, samen met kunstaas. Levend aas is beschikbaar, maar je moet de schipper vragen of je het zelf gaat vangen.
Een eerste maat zal aanwezig zijn om ervoor te zorgen dat alles soepel verloopt. Maats werken hard om je trip te laten slagen, dus een fooi van 10–20% is gebruikelijk.
Je moet voor de trip een lokale visvergunning kopen. Deze informatie is meestal online beschikbaar, of je kunt het de schipper vragen. Sommige soorten kunnen verboden zijn of een speciale tag vereisen, dus zorg dat je weet wat je kunt verwachten.
Een paar dingen om mee te nemen zijn zonnebrandcrème (niet-spray), een hoed en een zonnebril. Er zijn wat drankjes beschikbaar, maar laat de schipper weten als je je eigen drankjes wilt meenemen. Alcohol is in matige hoeveelheden toegestaan, maar vermijd sterke drank en glazen flessen. Er is eten en wat lichte snacks aan boord beschikbaar.

Issues came up with the boat, but Captain Chris Beard was on top of it like a champ. instead of canceling our trip he set us up with a backup at Geaux Fishing Charter with Captain Trampus Wagoner. We had a blast and caught 30+ sheephead, drum, mangrove, and I forgot the name of the other fish. I would 100% recommend both Captains and both charters if you want to do inshore or offshore fishing.

We didnt know what to expect but Captain Chris and Deckhand Austin was awesome! They showed us what to do, kept us baited up and was able to put us on some fish! 🎣 All 6 of us have never been offshore fishing and we had an absolute blast! We will book again with Animus!☝️👏

I recently spent an unforgettable day on the water with my friends aboard Animus Charters, LLC, and I can’t recommend it enough! From the moment we stepped on board, Capt. Chris made sure everyone was comfortable and ready for action. I’ve been on a bunch of guided trips and this has by far been the best! Captain Chris wants to put you on the fish and he knows the spots. We just booked again for snapper season!

Went out about 12 miles and got a bunch of redfish, drum, and sheepshead, had a great time. Brought my girls too and they loved it. Captain Chris is a great guy, loved the trip
