You will definitely benefit from his years of angling experience. He has been a licensed Coast Guard captain for over 20 years and has fished the Detroit River for well over a decade. His team placed 3rd in the Michigan Walleye Tour for Detroit in 2024 out of 150 boats.

Of course, there's no guarantee when you're fishing, but Captain Brian will work hard to put you on the fish! This is a hands on fishing trip, and he will help teach you to catch and land your own fish.

Planning a family adventure? Kids are absolutely welcome! There are two child sized life vests on the boat at all times, so please let the Captain know if there will be more than two children so he can bring more. Snacks are never a bad idea so that nobody gets grumpy on an empty belly.

Capt. Brian welcomes you aboard the Fillet Finder, a 22' Hewescraft Evolution 221 that holds up to 6 passengers. This boat was brand new in 2025, and you will be fishing in comfort and style. Capt. Brian has rods and reels for you, along with all other fishing gear necessary for a great day on the river.

You will need to purchase your Michigan and Ontario fishing licenses before the trip. The links for these are available online at our website, or you can ask the captain and he can direct you on how to obtain these.

Some essentials to bring are sunblock (non-spray), bottled water, and sunglasses. We prefer that you do not bring alcohol as it is not allowed in Canadian waters and will limit our fishing.
