Ik ben schipper Will. Geboren en getogen in Florida, ben ik een marinveteraan die al sinds mijn 15e boten de open zee op neemt. Van toernooien voor koningsmakreel tot het vangen van tonijn in de noordoostelijke canyons en alles daartussenin.
Ik kocht mijn eerste boot toen ik nog in de kazerne in Virginia Beach woonde, en ben sindsdien niet meer gestopt. Als je grote vis wilt vangen of gewoon wilt genieten van de bezienswaardigheden die de panhandle te bieden heeft, hoef je niet verder te zoeken.
De boot is een KenCraft 235 met dubbele 200pk motoren en de beste elektronica, met RADAR en Spotlock. Outriggers voor trollen. Ik heb zitzakken voor degenen die een comfortabele zitplaats willen tijdens de overtocht. De boot heeft een volledig bestuurbaar tweede station en een stereosysteem. Ik zorg voor materiaal, maar als je een favoriete hengel en molen hebt die geschikt is voor het type vissen, neem deze gerust mee.
Het is BYOB (neem je eigen drank mee). Geen spuitbus zonnebrandcrème alstublieft, dat doodt aasvis. Grote koelboxen moeten in de auto blijven om ruimte op de boot te besparen. Ik raad 4 vissers aan, maar neem tot 6 mee bij zeer goede omstandigheden of als we inshore blijven. Draag alstublieft gesloten schoenen, crocs zijn ook goed.

Incredible Trip
8hr Wahoo/Mahi Trolling op April 11, 2026 • 2 volwassenen
We went out with Captain Will on the Mahi/Wahoo trolling trip. Its a little early for these fish, but Will knew exactly where to go. We caught our limit of Mahi (10 each), plus some Jacks and a nice Cobia! Will was great with my 13 year old son and taught him a ton. I’ve been on half a dozen guided fishing trips and Will was easily one of, if not the very best. I will absolutely use him again and recommend him to anyone in thr Destin/Fort Walton area. Thanks again Will!

My father and I had a great
time and this trip catching fish including vermilion snapper, mahi mahi, and a flounder. We even got to catch some big red snappers but were not able to keep them due to not being in season yet. overall a good fishing experinece and one we will look forward to doing again

Had an amazing day with Capt. Will! He was ready to go when we pulled up to the dock early. We stopped on the way out and reeled in some bait, then got right to one of the best days of fishing we’ve ever had. We absolutely killed the snapper all day, hauling in multiple fish that would be your new PB red snapper. Caught a few fish worth mounting. We will be back to fish with tailside for sure. Book the reef trip! Thanks again Will!

We had an amazing offshore fishing trip with Captain Will — truly a standout experience. From the moment we boarded, he made everyone feel welcome, especially the kids. His calm, friendly demeanor and genuine enthusiasm kept them engaged the entire time. Their excitement was contagious.
The boat was spotless and well-equipped, and Captain Will clearly knew the best spots to find fish. We caught a great variety and learned a lot along the way. Whether you're an experienced angler or bringing your family out for a fun day on the water, this is the captain you want. We’ll definitely be booking with him again — it was the kind of trip that creates lifelong memories.

I couldn’t have imagined a better day out on the water. We started the trip by catching bait and then moved out into deeper water to target a wide variety of species. Along the way, we were even treated to a dolphin sighting—my wife was thrilled!
Captain Will put us right on the action. By the end of the trip, I was completely worn out from reeling in big fish. We caught just about every species you could hope for—amberjack, red snapper, triggerfish, sharks, and several others.
The boat with Tailslide Charters is top-notch, and Captain Will ensures you’re well taken care of with music playing and complimentary waters and Gatorades ready to go. He’s not only an excellent guide but also incredibly patient, informative, and just an all-around great guy.
As an avid freshwater angler, and someone who’s been deep sea fishing before, I can honestly say this was my favorite trip. If I’m ever back in Destin, I’ll definitely be booking with Captain Will again. Highly recommend!
