Carolina Traditions Fishing Charters runs fishing trips out of Holden Beach and offers to take you on an excellent inshore or nearshore fishing adventures.

Capt. Tyler prides himself on going the extra mile to ensure you have a fun day full of fishing. He specializes in bottom fishing, and trolling to get you on that bite. This involves from 2-hour to 10-hour trips, mainly fishing for King Mackerel, Cobia, Seabass, Redfish, Spanish Mackerel, and Flounder, depending on the season.

Your adventure begins on board a 27' Angler Boat that can fit 6 passengers. The boat is equipped with an ice box. The price of your trip includes all the rods, reels, and terminal tackle you will need for a productive day on the water.

As for fishing licenses, the captain will take care of everything, so you don’t have to worry about it. You can keep anything you catch as long as it’s legal. Want to bring the rest of the family along for the ride? Kids are welcome aboard, so you can make it a family friendly adventure!

4 Hour Trip – Nearshore on September 19, 2025 • 2 adults

My wife and I had a great day fishing with Captain Tyler. He put us on some bull drum at 7:30 and we caught them most of the morning, with some big sharks and rays mixed in…there was also plenty of blues and spanish. This was my wife’s first charter and she caught several bull drum with the biggest being 46” . Can’t say enough about Capt. Tyler, communication prior to trip was excellent, he was ready to roll as we arrived at 6:55 am and already had a live well full of bait. He is professional, yet very friendly, like you have known him all your life. He worked hard for us all day and you can tell he loves being a captain and being out on the water!

We had a great trip. Weather was bad for 3 days leading up so we were a little nervous that we would get canceled. The captain assured us if we could go he would go and we would get some fish. The sun peaked out a few times and we all caught multiple fish and had some great fights. My 13 year old son even hooked an 8ft shark! Really fun and the captain was great.

Flounder Season Day 1

Captain Tyler is the best! Caught our limit of Flounder followed by FUN catching others, including a nice Red. Our 3rd straight year and will definitely be back next summer. Really recommend Tyler for any trips as he really works hard and knows his stuff!!!

Amazing trip. Tyler was incredibly accommodation to our group, including a 4 year old and some sea-sickness. He put us right on fish as soon as we got out and it never slowed. Looking forward to another trip with Tyler as soon as I can.
